Traditional house in the village of Kimolos,in the southwestern Cyclades in the Aegean Sea. The village,built at the foot of Xaplovouni, with its whitewashed houses, flowery courtyards and narrow winding streets with whitewashed “joints”, is a Cycladic painting with a special, local note. The oldest residential core is the Castle, around which the settlement expanded from the end of the 17th century, but mainly after the Greek Revolution. So the closer to the Castle is a house, the older it is, as a rule. In the Village of Kimolos, you will not find a large central square, but a few small ones like Theoskepasti, Kampos (with the playground) or the School (with a nice view). In Chorio you will find several shops, rural clinic, pharmacy, ELTA, Police Station, ATM. In Kimolos there is a transparent, sparkling sea, in all the amazing shades of blue and a beach for everyone: Busy or quiet, with sand, with pebbles or with rocks for dives, big or small, with shallow or deep water. Most beaches are easily accessible but there are also some dreamy in the north of the island and in Polyaigos, for which a floating means is needed.

We're also very close to Plaka village (the capital of Milos) and Mandrakia fishing village.
