Kinsale Self Catering Cosy Rural Accommodation

MicheleRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
It's out of town, so we self catered for an evening meal & breakfast, so we didn't have to drive back to town. Could easily do this with the kitchen. Also had a washing machine, but too wet to get any done and dried on the line unfortunately. Nice addition though. Would be good place to base from for a few days if your driving.

The Lavender House

We were met by Dan at the house which was easy find using the air-code. He was very friendly and helpful providing some info on local restaurants and supermarkets. The house was Dans home and was vacated by Dan and his wife to allow us the use for the weekend. We had the use of the lounge, dinning room and full kitchen also the downstairs loo and upstairs bathroom and the front bedroom. we also had the use of the rear garden and patio furniture if we wish to avail of it. The location was fine for us as it was only about a 10 min walk to the town centre and the local pub as about 5 min away. The only issue I found was early morning traffic noise as the main road from Bandon to Clonakilty is quite close by. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

Rustic West Cork Barn

PeterRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Spent five nights in Teresa’s lovely well equipped barn set in beautiful countryside. She has clearly put a lot of thought into collecting furniture and other items to create a relaxing place to come home to. The kitchen has everything you need - we ate in several times and appreciated the local bread, milk, butter, and marmalade which she provided. Although the weather wasn’t kind to us, we enjoyed the area and meeting the friendly locals. Everyone should eat at ‘The Church Restaurant’ in Skibbereen - great atmosphere, friendly staff, and excellent food. (pre book). It was good to meet Teresa and learn a little about the creation of the barn. Thanks Teresa, for a comfortable relaxing stay.

We had a wonderful stay! The host was very kind and welcoming. The lodge is cozy and charming with a lovely rustic feel and a wood-burning stove that made it extra special. It’s very peaceful and private. We would love to come back!

Myrath, Ballinacurra, Kinsale - with breakfast

Mona and her husband, John, are incredible hosts! We truly enjoyed our time, especially chatting with Mona in the living room before bed. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed! Felt like staying with my own grandmother! And her scones and homemade jam are delicious!

Studio-room - an ‘Olde Cow-stall’, Kinsale

ElizabethRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Exceeded expectations. Incredible host! (Our favorite of the 5 different places we stayed at in Ireland.) She was extremely friendly and helpful!!Beautiful, spacious, light- filled rental, overlooking lovely garden. Well stocked kitchenette, with cooktop and spacious mini- fridge (that had a small freezer section and mini- ice tray) Because the trees hadn't completely leafed out yet, there was even a view of the big creek next door and the ocean it leads out to. Very private but close to the extremely charming town of Kinsale. The downtown has very narrow streets and we weren’t comfortable driving them, but you can find parking just a bit outside of the old downtown to park. Probably best to get a taxi, unless you're used to driving on such narrow streets. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would!
