Guesthouse Agae is a limited stay for one group that has been renovated from an old private house.The property is in a very convenient location, with the Kumano Kodo and Chikaruo Prince approximately 550 metres away (about a 7-minute walk), and a supermarket (A-COOP), bus stop (Kodo Aruki no Sato Chikatsuyu) and restaurant (Tororoya) all within a 1-minute walk. As the owner is a local Kumano Kodo guide, they will do their best to answer questions about walking the ancient pilgrimage trail, provide advice, and offer transport if needed.We can also provide a personal guide, so please feel free to ask. This land with its old-fashioned townscape and famous water is hot in summer and cold in winter. But that's why the rice, vegetables, and meat are also delicious. There are many areas where nature remains, but few areas where the old townscape remains intact. I want to preserve this townscape. To that end, I want many people to experience a nostalgic way of life and culture. As such a place, we renovated a row house left by our ancestors and opened it as the Daiji, a soy sauce shop that had closed. You are always welcome! To reach the house, you will need to climb approximately 50 steps (about a 5-minute walk), but a beautiful view and peaceful atmosphere await you at the top.

Reservation start from 2 person / 2 nights minimum. We accept only one group at a time so you will have exclusive use of the entire property. Guesthouse is a typical old Japanese house, not like a resort Hotel or Ryokan for business. We have no meal service. Mikiura village is surrounded by the clear blue sea and natural green mountains. You'll enjoy real Japan such as rural life experience, quiet time and beautiful nature.
