Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Keratokampos

Pasiphae House was something out of a dream! It was beautifully designed in the traditional Crete Village homes style. The location is isolate in the mountains, but amongst a great community of people. We were greeted by Yianna and Koula that gave us the walk through of the house, and we're always in constant communication. Ioanna supplied us with a long list of things to do and try in the area which we took full advantage of. Overall it was a beautiful stay and would highly recommend.

We can highly recommend this accommodation. It's tucked away in a very secluded spot, which makes it wonderfully peaceful. At the same time, you can reach restaurants and a mini market in just a few minutes. A car is essential! The garden is stunning. The biodiversity is incredible. There's always something new to discover. The house is quite small and simply furnished, but that was absolutely fine. Everything was clean, and that's what matters most. The long driveway leading to the house can be a bit intimidating—it just slopes down without any railing or guard. But that’s just part of the Cretan charm. Giannis was always very friendly and helpful—thank you for everything! We also got to know the neighboring family and even visited them. Such kind people. And the animals! Aphroditi the horse, a peacock, chickens, and turkeys—our daughter loved them. Overall a great experience. We were very happy and would definitely recommend it. Who knows—maybe we’ll be back in a few years!

Elpida, a dream house, definitely recommended. Not only the location and the view are sensational, but also the house itself. We (married couple 63/61) were able to enjoy Angelika's unobtrusive and warm hospitality in May 2025 and had a relaxing week in or above the beautiful village of Mochlos. We have absolutely nothing to complain about, on the contrary - we have rarely found such a great accommodation. Perfect furnishings and very well-equipped kitchen, always a shady spot and very pleasant insect protection. The steep ascent to the mountain is also no problem after the first exercise. The scent of the plants is simply wonderful. Lovely place to stay and well set up - we had a very comfortable couple of days Fabulous to be welcomed with fresh produce most of which was home grown in the fridge and a bottle of wine as well as oils and vinegar and tea and coffee Would definitely stay there again

The house is very quiet in a village where you (early June) have no mass tourism, but the beach is small. The people in the restaurants and shops are very friendly and the food here (we tried three restaurants) was very good everywhere. Michalis described the way to the house very well. Everything was well maintained and Michalis had provided us with a sweet delicacy and water for the reception. We would book the accommodation again immediately.

Me and my family had a wonderful time at Maria’s. The private balcony was amazing. Maria was a wonderful host providing us with lots of snacks and was very communicative. This is a great stay for a relaxing holiday. We would definitely stay again!

This place completely exceeded our expectations! It’s absolutely stunning, with a breathtaking, priceless view that made our stay unforgettable. We had a wonderful and unforgettable stay in Crete. Katerina welcomed us very well in this paradise island me and my sister. Indeed, she welcomed us at the bus stop to show us the beautiful apartment which is a 10-minute walk from the beach. The apartment had all the necessary amenities and it was very clean (the bedrooms, the kitchen, the shower, the sheets,...). Katerina was listening and answering all our questions throughout our stay. She showed us the supermarket which is 10 minutes away by bus where you can find tasty vegetables and fruits and local products like olive oil and honey. It also showed us the tourist places: the most beautiful beaches of Crete like the sublime Sarantaris beach, the beautiful Heraklion Cruises to Dia Island and the beautiful neighboring towns like Nikolaos. My husband and I spent a lovely week at Asteri Home. The house was exactly as expected and just what we wanted for our week in Crete. The kitchen was well-equipped and allowed us to make breakfasts and a some dinners at home. The main double bedroom was big enough and comfortable. The bathroom is a bit dark and the shower is quite small, but we made do. The most amazing part of the house is the huge garden overlooking the sea that has 4 sun loungers, 2 outdoor tables for dining, a BBQ and a dart board. We spent a lot of time sitting at the end of the garden enjoying the view. Véronique and Yiannis are amazing hosts. They were so helpful right from the start - arranging transport from the airport, a rental car, offering suggestions for restaurants and places to visit. Kokkini Hani is quieter than other more touristy parts of Crete we visited. We found wonderful Greek restaurants with fresh seafood everyday. The supermarket and shops are all in walking distance. A lovely place!

A lovely base for exploring the area, close to the harbour to easily get to Spinalonga. Irini was so helpful, the view from the balcony was worth every penny. We are already looking to book again next year :)

It was my second time at Manolis’ place and I love it. It’s one of most magic places I know on this planet and Manoils and his parents are always very friendly and helpful. The kitchen is very well equipped and the apartment very cosy and bright. Especially in autumn I like this area and the balcony because it’s very calm and relaxed - you are very near the ocean. Like last time Manolis mum prepared some dinner for me and the fridge was full of food ❤️. Unfortunately there was some strong wind during my 4 weeks there and so I had some power outages and wifi / fon connection outages. Manolis did his very best and was very helpful to get it fixed as soon as possible.

A beautiful apartment from beautiful people who shared delicious gift on our arrival, the apartment itself gives a constant view of the sea and contains everything you need to feel at home, the beach in this quiet town is just steps away, as well as the pubs that are open in the warmer months. Great quiet town to just relax and enjoy the surroundings. Great value for money, would definitely return.

Excellent villa on the south side of Crete. Pool, landscapes and the house are beautiful! The south of Crete is way less touristy than the north so if you want quiet this is the spot. We were the only Americans anywhere in May!

We had an incredible holiday in Plaka. The villa is tastefully decorated and equipped for a relaxing holiday, but the best part was the views and the attention we received from Tina, Aspa, and Angelis, who were always friendly and willing to help us enjoy our stay.

Highly recommend Jan’s gorgeous home. We witnessed some of our favorite sunsets here and the house itself is just a beauty. Everything we needed was available in the kitchen to cook up a great meal. It was also such a great location to a lot of areas we wanted to visit. Jan gave us a lot of recommendations and we ended up going to a few of the restaurants Jan sent us to! If you’re looking for a beautiful, private airbnb that is situated in a central place near all the beaches you’d likely go to, this is your spot!

The house is located in a peaceful rural area, away from tourist crowds and big cities. Perfect for those seeking tranquility, but a car is essential. We stayed for three weeks and loved the architecture and outdoor space. The house is fully equipped, and the kitchen is spacious with many utensils. The air conditioning is rarely needed due to mosquito screens on all windows. Cleanliness was excellent, with well-maintained beds and bathrooms. Laundry facilities are available. The terrace and modern pool area are highlights, especially with the pool lit at night. The garden, full of fruit trees and Cretan herbs, adds charm. Manos and his father were wonderful hosts, surprising us with fresh fruit baskets and offering helpful tips on restaurants and excursions. Cat lovers will enjoy the three friendly cats that visit. The area can be noisy with chickens and dogs, but this didn’t bother us. We leave with fond memories of a place we’d love to visit again.

What words should we find for this excellent house, spotless, well equipped, furnished with taste, with unobstructed views of the sea and the mountains of Lasithi. The Apostolis impeccable host,very friendly, very kind and always willing to serve us. We wish him and his family to be well and to rejoice in their home. We hope we can come back for more days

We had a wonderful 5-day vacation at the villa. The property was stunning! It was tastefully designed, offering full privacy, and was super clean. We used the brick oven to make pizza and also enjoyed the pool. Everything was just as it looked in the pictures, and the villa was equipped with everything we needed. Pandelis, the owner, was very responsive to all of our requests and questions. I highly recommend this place!

We felt very comfortable in Konstantinos' villa from the beginning. The amenities are very good and everything else was tiptop, so we didn't even have to contact Konstantinos. Arrival, key handover, etc. went completely smoothly. The accommodation is on the edge of the small village of Anatoli, where it is very quiet and you have a lot of privacy. There are 2 small taverns in the village that are worth a visit. Here, you are still away from the big tourist crowds. Anyone who comes here should definitely be animal-friendly. There are some stray cats around the villa that are grateful if you take care of them. However, you have to think carefully beforehand about whether you should feed the cats. We enjoyed our time there very much and can imagine coming back here.
