Holiday rentals with a kayak in Kennebec County

If you want a private, well furnished home in the woods with fishing access on the stream and 2 fire pits this is your place!! Staying at this house made a work trip for my crew and I, feel like we were on vacation for 2 nights while staying there. Worth the money and great hosts!

The location is gorgeous and peaceful, so close to the water so that we could enjoy it right out the window, or down at the dock. The weather was too rainy for paddling but we heard the loons. The space is comfortable and Mark had so many nice touches that made us feel welcome. We hope to be back!

Great rental property in a great place.

This was a really nice house on a beautiful lake. The beds were comfortable and there were enough to accommodate us. It was very clean and easy to enjoy your stay. We really enjoyed our stay.

This cozy cottage was definitely the right choice for our family. The location of it was perfect for the things we already had planned to do in the area, with a beautiful scenic view. The cottage was accommodating and had everything we could’ve needed asides from tooth brushed and toothpaste. The host was quite responsive as well. I would most definitely recommend this cottage as a place to stay for anyone!

I had a wonderful 2-day stay at this lake house with my friends. The place was clean, cozy, and exactly as described by the host. What a place. So many great things to do. We swam and fished in the lake, the kayaks and canoes were so much fun and at night we sat by the fire pit and played table hockey.The house had everything we needed. The host was very responsive and answered all questions quickly.

We stayed at the cottage for about a week in late September and it was a perfect spot to get away from it all. The house is on a serene pond with trees reflected on the water, classic Maine. The cottage was clean and well kept with most everything you’d need. It’s in a very quiet neighborhood, so not a party spot, which worked out fine for our quiet family. We’d consider coming back to visit family. Thank you for the comfortable stay!

Very peaceful, quiet and tranquil location on the pond. House was very clean, fully stocked kitchen, great amenities and a very comfortable bed. Even left us a case of water and a Smores kit. Any questions I had were answered within minutes

Jennifer was great - had a few questions and her responses were near immediate. The place is as described- simple but comfortable and cozy for a family of 4. It rained so I cant comment on the lake activities but the fenced in yard was perfect for the dogs and a beautiful spot. hoping to go back in the summer when weather is better. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a getaway and like simplicity.

We loved it, we have stayed here in the past. We love the new kitchen island, plus the basket of snacks was very nice.

We fell in love with this beautiful, magical “tree house”. You couldn’t ask for a more perfect place to share time with friends & family. Beautiful view of the lake & everything you need is there - both inside & outside. This home radiates happiness & reflects the thoughtfulness of the owners. The furnishing are lovely & they have the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. I heartily recommend this cabin the woods. We look forward to returning. Linda

Our staying was amazing. I have stayed in many AirBnBs and this was by far the best. It had anything and everything we needed and more. Absolutely stunning location and home. Sha was very responsive and accomodating. We will definitely be back.

What a beautiful location. What a terrific camp. Caitlin's place is exactly the Maine Lakeside experience you could hope for. Echo lake is a gem. The surrounding environment is magnificent. The water is clear and cool. The cabin is very spacious with lots of room. My Grandchildren had a great swim and then enjoyed the fun tower bunk room while I cooked dinner. They did not want to leave!

Beautiful place. Perfect getaway. Paul was very nice and helpful. Great recommendations for places to go. Very responsive to any questions we had. I could sit on the deck for days and watch the pond and soak up the sun. Only regrets was we had more rain than sun and unable to enjoy a bonfire. But thats Maine. Lol Cant wait to plan a trip back.

The place was exactly like the pictures—beautiful scenery and a spacious, comfortable setup. It was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The host was incredibly attentive, communicated clearly and promptly, and was super helpful throughout the entire stay. Highly recommend!.

We felt very at home. The place is even better than the pictures. Nice walking trails near house. The walk to the dock is a little steep, so walk carefully, especially at night. We are already looking forward to staying with Christopher next year!

I can absolutely, highly recommend David. Literally the only issue was that we wished the dock was out on the water. But everything else was perfect,and we just saw that as a minor inconvenience. It was beautiful, very clean, nicely decorated, beautiful scenery and kayaking available. The fishing was great, as we caught quite a few for dinner☺️ David was a perfect host and was available any time we had a question. He is very polite and courteous, and frankly fun to talk with. 😊
