TAKIO 3 guesthouse

HaoxuanRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Very classic Japanese homestay, beautifully decorated.Although it is a bit far from the city center, it is in a residential area. When you walk from the homestay to the station, you can see other Japanese-style houses, which is very atmospheric.The price is actually about the same as the hotel in the city center, the main thing is the experience. The host Makoto is very nice, pick up and drop off for check-in and check-out, and will also introduce the facilities around the homestay when checking in.We tried the Osaka burn he recommended, and it was quite delicious.There are also different activities every month, and if you catch up, you can join guests from different countries.

Traditional tatami Japanese style

明照Rating, 5 stars1 week ago
The host was very welcoming and wrote a welcome sign at the door. Although it was very far and tiring to walk from JR Station, it was still comforting to see such a warm welcome.After ringing the doorbell, the landlord ran all the way to greet us. She was a very polite and friendly woman: she helped us with our luggage, showed us around the house, and gave us a lot of good advice and tips.On the day of departure, the host was also very enthusiastic about taking us to the JR Station by private car.Despite some language barriers (we are mainland Chinese and sometimes do not understand English), we still talked a lot: anime, bands...The environment is very beautiful, there are some flowers and plants in the small yard, the air is fresh, and there is a shrine next to it that can calm our hearts.Overall, the experience of this trip was very good and worth trying.The last sentence is to tell us Chinese people: it is very worth trying, believe us, Chinese people do not lie to Chinese people!

Kumano City, right next to Atashika Beach, private lodging.Guesthouse Nagano-no-Ie is along the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage route

We had a lovely stay at this Air BnB! Atashika is the cutest, most beautiful tiny coastal town and this BnB is a gem. You get the whole place to yourself and it is within a short walking distance of the beach. There aren’t many open restaurants or convenience stores, but it didn’t matter to us because the place itself is so beautiful and peaceful. The BnB has everything you need, including extra thick mats for the floor mattresses in case you need some extra cushion. We loved staying here and highly recommend it!

Overlooking the Yoshino River!You can enjoy BBQ in the sunset and garden.Limited to one group per day!

千里Rating, 5 stars1 day ago
It was a very nice old house that felt nostalgic, like the game "My Summer Vacation" that was popular in the past! It has a veranda, a BBQ in the garden, and a large living room. As a Japanese, it was a very calming inn that reset my mind. There is a full range of appliances and kitchenware, and the bedroom on the 2nd floor is clean. Personally, I would have been very happy if the bathroom had a bathtub, but the room was so nice that I didn't mind. (Because it was sweaty in June and the surrounding hot spring facilities closed at 18:00) Three things to note for those who are reading this review. ① You cannot go directly to the front entrance by car. The parking lot is far away, so you can't park sideways. ② You will need to walk a short distance from the parking lot to the inn and climb a hill, so if you have a lot of luggage, you will need to divide it into several trips. ③ Please be careful if you have weak legs, as the stairs to the 2nd floor have a steep angle with a high step height, which is unique to old private houses. I would like to visit Yoshino again next time.

private traditional garden/free shuttle service

SamRating, 5 stars1 month ago
What a magical place. Pictures don’t do it justice. The property was beautiful and the room was a peaceful getaway in itself. With the electric bike you can ride up to the end of the road and hike up to the temple which was beautiful. Miko and her staff were fantastic. One day she gave me a ride personally for a hike and an hour later it started to rain. I was prepared to walk all the way back, but she reached out to me herself and asked if I needed a ride , which I took, but I deeply appreciate it that she took initiative and make sure I was taken care of.

Mahoro-no-Yado [Renovated old house for rent. Discover the unspoiled landscape of Japan in Asakura, Asakura]

DanielRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We really liked the accommodation. The highlights are the living room and bathroom. All in all, very clean, very well furnished, authentic and cosy. After Tokyo and Kyoto, we wanted some peace and quiet and decided in favour of this accommodation. You should definitely hire a bike and then explore the ancient ruins. It's wonderful on a bike. There are also very nice little cafés in the town. A Seven Eleven is very easy to reach on foot, so you can stock up on groceries. We had a very nice time out on our honeymoon.
