Guesthouse Agae is a limited stay for one group that has been renovated from an old private house.The property is in a very convenient location, with the Kumano Kodo and Chikaruo Prince approximately 550 metres away (about a 7-minute walk), and a supermarket (A-COOP), bus stop (Kodo Aruki no Sato Chikatsuyu) and restaurant (Tororoya) all within a 1-minute walk. As the owner is a local Kumano Kodo guide, they will do their best to answer questions about walking the ancient pilgrimage trail, provide advice, and offer transport if needed.We can also provide a personal guide, so please feel free to ask. The kitchen of the house is also equipped with condiments and cooking utensils. We hope you will enjoy cooking with us. To reach the house, you will need to climb approximately 50 steps (about a 5-minute walk), but a beautiful view and peaceful atmosphere await you at the top.

Mikiura Guesthouse

Reservation start from 2 person / 2 nights minimum. We accept only one group at a time so you will have exclusive use of the entire property. Guesthouse is a typical old Japanese house, not like a resort Hotel or Ryokan for business. We have no meal service. Mikiura village is surrounded by the clear blue sea and natural green mountains. 「万葉の人々が愛した景勝の地」 世界遺産であり、「日本一の桜の名所」とも言われる有効明媚な万葉の里、吉野にある小さな集落・宮滝。この宮滝にはかつて「吉野宮」という天皇の離宮があり、「壬申の乱」が起こった歴史深い場所でもあります。万葉集にはこの宮滝の景勝を称えた歌がたくさん収められています。 そして清流・吉野川が流れるこの地は関西圏屈指の川遊びスポットとして知られており、夏休み期間はたくさんの川遊び客で賑わいます。 その宮滝で番傘・提灯の職人として祖父母が長年暮らしてきた築100年の古民家を改装し、「ちょうちんの宿」として復活させることにしました。 「遊べる川まですぐ」という立地を活かした、複数の世帯や友人同士など多人数でも使いやすい宿です。 歴史や自然の息吹を感じながら吉野観光・川遊びやBBQの拠点として使って頂ければ幸いです。 中庭にはプライベートサウナと水風呂（タライ）を設置。サウナ好きの皆様も是非、皆様でお越しください。
