Located in front of the World Heritage Site "Horyu-ji Temple" in Madara-cho, Nara It is a nostalgic yet somehow new, special house. The floors on each floor are made of cypress from Yoshino, Nara, the same material used in the construction of Horyuji Temple. It can accommodate up to 9 guests. It is also recommended for stays with friends, such as "adult school trips", creative training camps, and travelers who love architecture. There are supermarkets, cafes, Chinese restaurants, dango shops, specialty bakeries, Japanese restaurants that have won Michelin stars, famous confectionery shops, and other urban areas nearby. On the other hand, there are also quiet landscapes dotted with the old charm of Madara, where you can enjoy a relaxing stroll. Nakamiya-ji Temple, which has a national treasure, the Half-Recumbent Buddha, Hoki-ji Temple, a World Heritage site alongside Horyu-ji Temple, Jikoin Temple, which has a magnificent view overlooking the Daiheino Plain, and Mt. Sanshitsu and the Tatsuta River, which were also mentioned in the Hyakunin Isshu, are also nearby. Although the inn is conveniently located along the national highway, it is not recommended for those who are sensitive to noise and vibration. Hi there,Welcome to the Nishimura residence.I’m Yuta Sugimoto, the host. Nishimura Residence is a traditional Nara machiya (townhouse) that is over 110 years old.In 2019, I renovated ‘Grandma’s place’, where I spent a lot of time as a child, and opened it as an accommodation.As the Nara machiya has been preserved in its original state, it can be quite inconvenient at times, and it is not a luxurious hotel where everything is provided. 　Instead, I believe there is no better place than Naramachi to soak up the ‘comfortable rustic’ atmosphere that permeates the town.We provide books in the room and a vegetarian breakfast in the hope that this environment, away from the hustle and bustle of the station, will help guests ‘reflect and recover’.(You can purchase almost all of the books in the room.) 　Please spend tonight in the tranquillity of the Nishimura residence and Nara-cho, listening to the voice of your own heart.

In the neighborhood, there is Asuka, which retains the appearance of ancient Japan, and is dotted with many ruins. Imai-cho, where the old streets from the Edo period still exist, is also a highlight. Kashinoki-an is a pure Japanese-style house built over 60 years ago, and you can also enjoy the garden. The kitchen and bathroom have been renovated for a pleasant stay. There is also a tourist information center, restaurant, tavern, supermarket, drug store, convenience store, and 100-yen shop nearby, making it very convenient. You can also get to Kyoto, Osaka, and Nara in about an hour.

The nearest station is Oji Station on the JR Line (18 minutes from Osaka Tennoji Station). It is about a 20-minute bus ride from Oji Station. If you are coming by train, we will pick you up at the nearest station. The last pick-up time is 7:00 PM. After that, please use the bus. There is a lovely hot spring nearby, or you can walk there. There is a barbecue facility in the garden. Convenient access to Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, Koyasan, and Yoshino.

We restored Machiya while keeping the original structure in order to provide you with a traditional Japanese experience with local atmosphere.This house is for only private use and has only one floor with Japanese style room, shower room, washroom, sink and small garden.
