Chalet holiday rentals in Katschberg Pass

The three of us (one adult and two teenagers) spent a wonderfully relaxing week here. Christoph is a great and uncomplicated host who responds very promptly to questions. The cottage itself is exactly as described. The approach is via a narrow path (on which we met two riders on our arrival, which led to a not entirely easy "reverse driving action"). Behind the house, a stream splashes, but you can't hear it with the windows closed (although I am quite sensitive to noise). In front of the house, a hiking trail passes by, which we used for two tours ("Hochebene Maria Elend - Kapelleralm Runde von Embach" and "Spektakulärer Skywalk - Taxenbach-Wasserfall Runde von Taxenbach" ... just check Komoot). The Berggolf round (clubs and balls are available in the information office in the village) is also fun. The Langreiter pizzeria is highly recommended. The only sticking point: the bunk bed for people > 1.90m.

Super nice host and cozy cottage. It was perfect for us and the kids. It is good that the property is fenced. There were even two high chairs. Everything's fine, happy to come back!

Great choice for bigger groups

Very nice cabin with everything you need. We had a lovely time and can recommend the cabin especially in the off-ski season. :) Especially the cleanliness was outstanding!

Anze’s chalet was the perfect place to spend Christmas and Anze was an incredible host. The chalet had more than enough space for our group of 9 and was clean, comfortable and has the most incredible views of the lake. The location is great as it’s peaceful and private, but walking distance to the town, train station and ski bus. Although small, the kitchen has everything you need to cook a full meal and the laundry has two washing machines and two driers. Anze is a very generous host. He was flexible with both check-in and out times, left lovely treats for us, and was kind enough to organise and Christmas tree and decorations so our children could decorate a tree for Christmas. He was also quick to respond to messages both in the lead-up and during our stay. We were all very sad to leave after a wonderful Christmas week at Anze’s.

We had a wonderful stay and a great weekend. The hiking trails are fantastic, the locals are super nice. The hosts helped us with all questions and responded quickly. Simply great!

We had a really wonderful stay, plenty of space, great amenities and everything very clean. We were 5 girls and we were all thrilled. The terrace is theoretically visible from neighbors, but we hardly noticed each other. Supermarkets are in the immediate vicinity, otherwise we were mainly in the accommodation and can hardly judge the area (except for the beautiful view). Grill, fire bowl, deck chairs... everything is there. The only drawback (but really only a complaint at the highest level): The light on the terrace has a timer, we would have liked it off - so if you are sensitive to light when sleeping and still need fresh air, you might want to bring a sleeping mask. But we also didn't ask, so maybe you can turn off the light somehow. Highly recommended overall.

Modern and cozy accommodation that looks 1:1 like on the pictures. We arrived as a group and were completely satisfied from booking to check-out. Definitely coming back :)

Premium Chalet with Premium equipment, super-clean and having all amenities as descri ed.

Josch & Biggi were amazing, such accommodating hosts that made us feel like we were coming home! I can’t thank them enough for making our honeymoon trip so memorable. The chalet is absolutely stunning, so many beautiful details that made it so cozy. It was truly a winter wonderland. I couldn’t recommend it enough to anyone visiting Austria!

Our group had a lovely time, perfect getaway ski trip. The house is as advertised, very clean, great views and is in pristine condition overall. The hosts were very nice and helpful throughout our stay whenever we needed to reach out to them. There's plenty of slopes near by to choose from, one within walking distance but a car is recommended to have around even tho there are ski busses. Some shops and restaurants are nearby incl ski rentals. Overall a great experience in a lovely location with great hosts. We'll probably try to come back in the future as an even bigger group.

Location is fantastic. Very close to the lifts to go up to the mountain, which we did daily. The design of the property is very modern and really offers a high degree of relaxation. Peter was most excellent and helped us with everything that we needed. Always again.

The chalet was very nice, clean and well furnished. The beds are very comfortable.  In particular, the terrace with meadow and fenced property was optimal for us and our dogs. The playground and the various animals are great fun for our little one. We were able to choose breakfast according to our wishes and was very rich. Only the price for only 2 adults and an infant was very high. All in all but a top recommendation! 

Loved our stay! The lodge is absolutely pristine and perfect for our needs. We loved having the billiard table and sauna and that all the bedrooms had big comfy beds. The kitchen was really well stocked with utensils and it was easy to cook. The location was perfect for us too, with the slopes behind, the kids had a great time sledging and it was a great base for exploring. A breath taking view out of the windows was the icing on the cake. 5 stars all round.

The place is lovely! Great location and great chalet. Everything was really great. The only point that irritated us a bit was the check-in and check-out times. Check-in is only from 4 PM.. although we were only able to arrive later due to work, but checking out at 10 AM is quite sporty.. We didn't really have this on our radar and overslept, so I contacted the host and explained that we overslept and would only check out around 10:30 AM. At 10:25 AM a man knocks and without further words he goes into the chalet to clean the hot tub. No hello or goodbye. Of course, you would have to pay attention to the times yourself when booking, this got lost with us. Nevertheless, everything else was great and I can definitely recommend the place!

The accommodation was really great. Super kid friendly and great location. There is another house between the house and the lake, but there is still direct access to the lake. It's also really great and great cooling in the summer. The owners are always available and available in the restaurant next door (this is also highly recommended!).

It was a wonderful stay. We were there with 4 people and a dog. The place is very clean, the beds and towels were fresh and washed. 🫧 We liked the sauna in the bathroom best, which was extremely easy to use and the perfect relaxation after long days of hiking. 😍 The view (directly onto the reservoir with the mountains around) as well as the privacy was just as beautiful. However, you have to accept that the nearest supermarket, etc., is 17 km away. But we would take this over and over again for such a great place to stay.🥹 The house has everything you need.🤗 The communication was also great, as was the descriptions. There is no even better price-performance ratio. Thank you for this lovely getaway.❤️

The cottage was easily accessible. Check-in and check-out are very straightforward. Unfortunately we had very bad weather, but when we entered the house it was nice and warm and very comfortable. That is why we enjoyed staying indoors and enjoyed our time there. Each room had its own bathroom with toilet, which is really great. Overall, we had a great stay. Absolutely recommended.

Our stay at the Steinbock was a complete success. The accommodation was clean, comfortably furnished and equipped with everything you need. We especially liked the quiet location with the magnificent view - perfect for relaxing. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and always easily accessible. We immediately felt welcome. The surrounding area also offers many great opportunities for hiking and exploring. We will be happy to come back!

The contact with and the reception of Michaela & family was super nice, I was in good hands and felt comfortable right away. The chalet is beautiful and well furnished, extremely well equipped and everything was very clean. A feel-good place, rainy days can be well endured. The bathing bay is perfect for the beautiful days, long walks along the river and countless outdoor activities can be found around the area. A perfect stay!

We were there for the AirPower event. Unfortunately a little longer away by car, but ideal for overnight and sleeping. Everything is available, some things could be modernized, but that doesn't detract from the feel-good factor.

We really liked the Steinbock Lodge as a group of 8 people! You are accommodated in a picturesque landscape, in which you can go hiking extremely well and in which a lot can be discovered on your own 🏔️ We found it wonderfully quiet and relaxing to be in the small town away from the city, as you could really enjoy nature there. The amenities were as indicated and can be seen in the pictures - we felt right at home 🏠 The furnishings and features (such as underfloor heating or pellet stove) were a very big plus. Even with 8 people, we had no major problems with the bathroom layout, as 3 were available. Technically speaking, everything is really up to date (right down to the small details such as the labelled switches, drawers, etc.) with a rustic, homely interior. We definitely recommend the place and will also be happy to come back!
