Staying at Japaku was a nice break for a busy vacation in Japan. The host family was very kind and helpful. They met us at the train station and walked us the 4 minutes to the residence. The home itself was sufficient for us, 8 children and 3 adults. A nice quiet neighborhood and good to have the down time between other trips. Definitely a good spot and conveniently located close to the train station to visit cool local sites.

Upon arrival, we had good explanations about the neighborhood, what to do and possible activities. Host escorted us home. Everything is clear and stylishly explained in a folder. The house itself is beautifully decorated with nice details and with all the necessities. It is located in a quiet neighborhood and everything is easy to do within walking and cycling distance. The bikes were included in the house and are well maintained. We enjoyed this place and surroundings. The hosts are very nice, sweet and helpful people. We recommend our family and friends to stay here as well. Even when we asked a little last minute if we could leave our suitcases at the office for a while, this was no problem and afterwards they even offered to take us with suitcases to the nearest station. Really 120% for the hospitality.

First, I’d like to say this place was very close to both the Keihan Line and Tanimachi Line, which made getting around easy. Check-in was smooth as the host had already provided clear instructions. The unit was spacious, though the large beds left limited space between the bed frames and walls. The toilet didn’t have a heater, unlike most in Japan, but it wasn’t a big issue. It gave us a comfortable place to stay for our 2–3 days in Osaka. Family Mart is just a 2-minute walk away, and Lawson about 3–4 minutes. The neighborhood was so peaceful—a welcome breather after our busy tours around Osaka. Thank you so much! My only comment is that the internet connection was pretty slow. Other than that, everything was great!
