Our property is a quiet, spacious, whole-floor accommodation with a lift, located in the heart of Kyoto, Kawaramachi, which is a rare find❤️ We recommend that it can comfortably accommodate between 4 and 10 people! We finalised the following details for our room in March 2026, so the experience from now on will be even better than before! We have carefully selected distinctive Japanese materials, The main wall of the living room TV area features stylish, high-end woven wallpaper with a design aesthetic. This is Japan’s largest and world-renowned wool fabric production area, and the overall space exudes a warm and cosy homey atmosphere. For this special toilet renovation, we used herringbone-patterned tiles made with a highly skilled technique using century-old tiles from Gifu Prefecture, Japan. These tiles create a three-dimensional effect as light and shadow play on them. Mino-yaki ceramics have a history of around 1,300 years, and the tile industry has been producing these tiles for over a century; they are among the most technically challenging tiles to make. We’ve also carefully upgraded the Dyson hairdryer, as well as the Dyson bladeless fan, the fast-boiling kettle from a Japanese design brand, the brand-new Daikin air conditioner (heating and cooling) in the living room, and the best shower head in Japan! The flooring is sourced from Asahi Mokko, a century-old Japanese company, and is of the highest quality—three times more expensive than Chinese products. We also carefully select the bedding. We are delighted to announce that a new Japanese-style tatami room, where you can experience Japanese tatami culture, has now been added to our building.Previously, out of the dozen or so rooms in the entire building, only one D2 four-person room was a Japanese-style room, so many guests wanted to stay in a tatami room.In January 2026, we completed the upgrade to a new C2 shared room. Currently, there are only two shared rooms in the entire building, so if you want to experience the traditional Japanese-style room feel, this is a good option! Welcome to our convenient and quiet accommodation in Kyoto, where you can enjoy your trip to Kyoto in a hassle-free and relaxing way. It took us two years to find this building, which is in a good location, in a quiet area and has a lift, and then another year of earnest negotiations with the owner before we finally had the opportunity to purchase and operate it.Most of the residents in the building are Japanese, so guests can experience Japanese daily life more authentically. We have put a lot of effort into designing the dozen or so rooms in the entire building in different styles. Many of the themes in each room have been handcrafted and painted by us. On average, it takes us about a month or more to add a new room.
