It can accommodate up to 4 -6 singles or 2 couples and is close to Down town and the Harbor, 5 minute drive to town or 15 minute drive "honestly" to the Homer Spit and Harbor. Great last minute spot that I booked. The view of the lake is beautiful and watching the planes take off and land. Only thing I didn’t account for was how loud these little planes are especially when they’re taking off at 6:30am. If you want to sleep in just keep that in mind. I would stay here again though.

This place was a perfect location for our top Homer excursion, halibut fishing. It was a short 5 minute walk to the fishing charter’s location. The views were amazing and we enjoyed watching the tides come in and go out. The place is small, great for a couple or a family with smaller children. There is no TV, nor sink in the bathroom but the free coffee was a huge perk!

We stayed here as we planned multiple trips to Katmai and Katchemak via Seaplane. If you are planning to do that, this place is awesome. Please be aware of the flights coming in and out of the lake as it can be noisy if you plan to sleep in. Other than that, the location is great! A walk down from the brewey, multiple seaplace services (one outside your door!) and a restaurant upstairs! This is on top of the great firepit for you to use!

So great to watch the planes land and take off from the lake right in front of you. It really felt like we were in Alaska. Helena had great personal touches in her decor and provisions! We loved the washable paper towels and coffee maker. Helena responded to us promptly and we even were able to check in a bit early. I was so happy that we chose to stay here instead of on the spit.

Birdhouse on Bishop’s Beach

This charming little house is a GEM!💎 Truly love the space and decor! The bed was fabulously comfortable, as were the linens. The kitchen is perfectly outfitted with everything I need. Best of all- THE VIEW!!!! WOW! Views of the water and beach were stunning. The location is ideal- hike the beach, or walk a couple of blocks for dining. Melissa and Jake are wonderful host and I plan on coming back for sure! Thank you for the lovely stay!

Beautiful home for our family with two babies. It was very comfy and free of clutter for the little ones. The host was very friendly. The house had everything you could need. One thing though is that if you need to use the hose, the host needs to turn it on manually.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Starfish Bungalow! Incredible home at an incredible location! We saw Harbor Seals and Sea Otters outside in the bay every day and a pair of Bald Eagles live close by and frequently fly by. The views are amazing and it has a great yard area for kids to play! Connie was a wonderful host and very communicative and gracious. I highly recommend staying here and would love to come back.

It was a bit frustrating as I am the type of person that replies to messages but was unable to let the host know that I checked in ok when he asked, checked out, or enjoyed the stay.
