Beachfront holiday rental in Kabira Bay

It was very quiet and the starry sky on the beach was lovely.

The facility was very new, and everything was new and we had a comfortable stay. I had a 3 year old and 6 year old, but they both loved the loft and were very happy to play. I also rented a car and I was able to go around all the places I wanted to go on Ishigaki Island. There was also a dehumidifier, which was very helpful. We were also able to pick up and drop off at the airport and move smoothly. The owner was also very friendly and quick to respond, so I had no trouble at all. Ishigaki Island, which I was very excited about, made my trip more enjoyable than I expected, and I would like to come back again.

I rented this house with my family and it couldn’t have been more perfect! The location is amazing - the beach is right there and pretty much no one else around. We loved kayaking up the beach and into the mangroves. It was also very well supplied - with drinks in the fridge and charcoal for the BBQ. Arantiya was the perfect host - super responsive and helpful. Thank you so much.

Tsukasa's place was like having our own beachfront house! The island vibe made it feel so relaxing. The industrial kitchen was very used-friendly and basic amenities were provided. The home was clean and uncluttered, and we had plenty of space for all our stuff as a family of 5, he even provided drying racks in both bedrooms. Having a washer/dryer was key because our visit was very rainy, but we ventured out anyway, and frequently came home in wet clothes! PLEASE do heed his advice about getting groceries in the city first, as there is very little convenience nearby this pretty rural location. We loved the peace & quiet, essentially private beach, and beautiful stars of the clear nights.

Wow, just treat yourself and stay here!!! It is sensational. Super modern beautiful home, so well appointed and full of thoughtful details. Star gaze from the roof deck. Snorkel out your back door. The home has incredible views out over the ocean. It was so soul filling and relaxing. Highly recommend!!

Where to begin! We had the most magical, rejuvenating stay with Chika and Rento. They are a special couple who bring a special energy to their place. We were greeted with welcome drinks and had a nice chat with Chika before we settled in. She was extremely accommodating and helped us feel comfortable. Fair warning - this stay is more akin to glamping, and you will bunk with some friendly critters but the beds were extremely comfortable and we slept like babies with the mosquito netting up. The room was also well air-conditioned and they gave us all the amenities we needed. We loved staying at a cafe, Chika is an amazing cook! We enjoyed farm fresh breakfast and cafe menu each day. Her place is very popular, but we only ever felt at peace and had our own quiet, private space to go back to if we needed it, but we always found ourselves wanting to enjoy the company. If you want to feel connected to nature and be steps away from the best beach, stay here. If you don’t, stick to a resort.

Great family stay at Maiko and Patrick’ s place. Maiko was always very quick and helpful in communication and the house itself is great. We loved the private access to the beach and had a great time there. We cooked at home and also tried the barbecue, it was all very nice. We strongly recommend this place!

This is the most memorable Airbnb stay I've ever had. Nagasawa-san accommodated me very last minute and was an exceptional host. I've studied Japanese so we mostly spoke in Japanese the whole time, which was really special for me. He knows everything about Iriomote and is a proactive member of his community, working to restore and sustain Iriomote culture. He took me on a tour of his village and shared so many interesting stories. He also guides hikes, and I joined him on one of his hikes where he also taught us many things about the nature on the island. We talked over a wonderful vegan meal on the last night, and he picked me up from / dropped me off at the nearby Hoshidate bus stop so I was able to travel Iriomote without a car. The space, mere steps away from a beautiful, calm beach, is pristine and I was able to cook for myself in the kitchen. I'm incredibly grateful to him and truly hope to return!
