Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Johnson County

We really enjoyed our stay and it was just as advertised. If you have a pet, the backyard is very large and the only negative thing I would have to say about the home. Is the backyard needs a little TLC.

This was our second stay at this home. It has been great both times. Spotless, comfy, accommodating and lots of extras. We love having the fenced in yard for the dogs. We've stayed here in the winter and now almost summertime. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Thanks for a safe and comfortable place to stay!

Nice, comfy little spot for one or a couple. Nice neighborhood and easy to walk to downtown shops and restaurants.

Jennifer’s place was perfect for what we needed, especially close to the hiking spots we were looking forward to along the Cache River. The house was clean and had lots of local recommendations, snacks, it was much bigger than we expected and Jennifer even reached out about what to do in the event of severe weather when the forecast looked not so great. Highly recommend!

Was a great place to spend a guys trip. We were able to grill out, sit outside on the deck, play yard games, and relax the rest of the night.

My husband & I enjoyed our stay at Kennedy’s Place. The hosts are super nice & friendly! Rooms are large & appliances are updated! The house is decorated with historic & cute pictures, along with a beautiful picture of Garden of the Gods. Antiques decorate the home, which I love! The backyard is huge & my husband & our dog spent many hours sitting outside & relaxing next to a fire pit. I highly recommend staying at Kennedy’s place! And if you are looking for restaurant recommendations, Morello’s has scrumptious lunch & dinner entries & Mackie’s Pizza has been a favorite of locals. You can even get apples on your pizza! It is delicious!

We enjoyed staying in Mary Ann's home that once belong to her grandparents. Everything was right where we needed it to be. We were on a bicycle tour in Carterville and took advantage of having a nap on the screened in front porch wicker furniture. We were able to cook most of our meals and do laundry before we left for the next location. We would stay there again if we are in the area. Thanks.

The pool alone is worth booking this stay! Absolutely beautiful pool and hot tub, overall very private (just share with homeowners which was no problem), clean, peaceful - feels like a tropical destination in IL!! However, the path (basically a hill) to the pool from the camper is hard to navigate. The camper is more of a camping experience and was difficult for my very tall husband. Bed was too small for him. The kids and I (short wife) had a blast though. Just bring bug spray - there are tics!

Loved staying at this location. So close to restaurants and shops and outdoor adventures. Very quiet. Amazing views of stars. Plenty of sleeping spaces. Very responsive and helpful host!

I decided last minute to see the 2024 eclipse in 100% totality. I drove all the way from Colorado to Marion, IL. All hotels were booked & really expensive. Then I saw Cassie's camping spot. I'm a solo female traveler with a dog & not much of a Camper so I was a little nervous, but this location was so easy to find, and felt very safe. Cassie even provided hotdogs and marshmallows for everyone. This was the perfect location to see the 2024 eclipse in 100% totality. I'll remember this always!

I never write reviews on anything but this guy deserves it breakfast was fantastic Ken was super cool fun well worth the money for sure he made us feel right at home was very nice to my dog he had a puppy outside she was adorable very sweet played with my dog for hours he stayed out of your way and just let you do your own thing didn’t bother he would check on you every now an again to make sure everything was as good never knocked on your door or even came to your room honestly just a down right amazing experience 1000/10 dude was awesome breakfast was amazing the house and all the art was beautiful I spent over 30 minutes just looking at the art everywhere

It was well worth the $! I had an amaziiiiing weekend! It’s absolutely beautiful- inside and out! The pool was SUCH a good time, I could’ve stayed in it for days! We grilled out and swam, it’s an unbelievably fun & peaceful experience. The host was extremely responsive, helpful and checked in making sure we had everything the whole stay. I would recommend it for sure! If I could give it 6 stars I would! I will definitely be staying here again!!!

We loved staying in Kevin's RV. The kids thought the bunk room was really cool. There were 2 adults, 3 kids and 1 infant and we had plenty of room. Everything was as listed and had everything we needed.

We chose to take this trip for our daughters birthday weekend a perfect setting to get away and have the option to camp, fish, swim and able to relax around a peaceful fire while eating smores. The camper had everything we needed very nice and spacious. The beds were very comfy. The area was nice and quiet. We caught fish from the dock. The family was welcoming to the pool area. And cant forget the friendly Pugley. He was for sure a bonus he loves to play fetch.

Our stay was amazing. Our host were super accommodating of some special requests we had. The pool house was just we needed to make our two night stay the most memorable for our family.

Very nice and quick to respond.very clean and quiet place and loved the wild deer that we saw coming and going from the cabin. Overall best place to stay to getaway from the city noise. Thanks for letting us stay very much needed.

We loved being able to see all of the beautiful wildlife that is on the property and we loved fishing all day on the lake. The host was very helpful and accommodating. We all had a great time.

This is a perfect little cottage near the lake. It had everything we needed, including nice outdoor patio spaces for eating and a big firepit. You can't see much of the lake from the cottage, but it's easy to get to - across a quiet road and down a very long flight of stairs. There's a nice big dock for fishing, swimming, star gazing at night, boating, and just relaxing and enjoying the view (it's a particularly scenic section of the lake because there is no development on the other side of the water - just forest!). We loved having access to kayaks and enjoyed fishing off the dock. Would love to return in summer when we can swim and do even more water activities!

Allison was a wonderful, responsive host. She sent links for things that my family and I could do on our short stay and responded in a timely manner if we needed anything. I will be booking again!

I wanted to create a lasting memory with my family, and with the backdrop of the cabin we did just that. Great experience!

it was a nice area. we were there for a short time but I believe you can take the kayaks out on their lake if you stayed longer! gated with animals so it felt secure.

We have booked several locations via Allison, and will continue to do so for future trips! Phenomenal host!!

Wonderful area, peaceful and quiet. Kitchen was wonderful with everything you would need. Located near the lake and easy driving to Fern Cliff and Giant City State Parks. We also kayaked at Cache Bayou outfitters about 40 minutes away.
