What an amazing spot on the little canal, loads of wildlife right there! Comfortable space and beds. Although well off the beaten path, super clear directions and support from the host throughout our stay! Highly recommended for the adventurous! Provided kayaks were just so special! Thank you!

We had a wonderfully quiet anniversary weekend. The cabin was very secluded and offered beautiful views. The host was very friendly and responsive. Her steak dinner recommendation was one of the best we’ve ever had. The bacon and eggs provided for breakfast was much appreciated and meant we could lounge around all morning. The cabin did get a little warm at midday in June, but we just left to explore a bit in Beaumont. The giant rock tub was great and big enough for two. Keep in mind that you are very much in the woods so bugs do make their way inside. We let the tub overflow one night since it has an infinity edge and many critters came scurrying out from the lava rock at the base. I think if you avoid overflowing the tub, the bugs will stay in their hiding places. Hoping to return in the cooler months!

Hands down one of the best experiences! I’m only halfway through my week-long stay, and I already know this is a place I’ll be returning to. The host truly goes above and beyond—everything is comfortable, well-stocked, and thoughtfully prepared to help you unwind and enjoy every moment. They really put their guests first, and it shows. My partner is visiting from New York, and as a local, it’s been such a joy to share this peaceful, nature-filled escape. It’s also worth mentioning how kind and helpful the maintenance guy has been—super friendly and quick to assist with anything we needed. The entire team clearly cares about creating a great experience. It’s also an LGBTQ-friendly space, which made us feel especially welcomed and safe. Overall, just an amazing getaway—we honestly didn’t want to leave. Highly recommend!

Beautiful scenery! Nice big patio overlooking the pond. The grandkids loved the animals and feeding the ducks. Nice western decor and big windows. Plenty of room for a group. Donnie was so helpful and gave us an ATV tour.

Debbie and Patrick place felt like an isolated gateway enabling the individual to sit in nature and experience peace! Loved it and will definitely book again if ever in Orange.

This was an amazing camp to spend quality time with family. We will definitely be back and this may be our new family Easter get away tradition. We truly feel that this was one of the best places that we have stayed!!! Amber and David were the perfect hosts and we were provided everything that was needed for our crawfish boil and bbq.

This place was beautiful. Donnie is seriously soooo nice, he helped us with our car when we had our bumper nearly half off. It was quiet and serene with the lake there. The wildlife watching was incredible. We did an ATV tour with Eric and saw the baby fallow dear and some blackbuck. The Pierre David’s deer were in their rutting season so it was like watching something out of National Geographic. It was kind of amazing waking up to see them right next to our car!

Great location for fishing around Port Arthur. Stayed three nights and it met all our expectations. If I had to name one thing that could have helped was enough room for our boat and trailer. It was very tight, but a neighbor that takes care of boat ramp offered his yard and boat ramp parking area for next trip. Overall it was a great location and beautiful sunrises behind the bridge. We had everything we needed.
