Holiday rentals with beach access in Jersey City

From the moment we booked the Airbnb & arrived, to the moment we checked out and landed back at home, our hosts were excellent to us. Our hosts picked me and my mother up from Newark Airport and dropped us back off. Upon arrival of the Airbnb, we were given a tour of their beautiful home. The hosts gave us tips to get around the city, an endless list of things to do and showed us where the 6 train station was, which was only a couple minute walk. My mother and I went for the Puerto Rican Day Parade 🇵🇷 and for the festival, and our hosts gave us tips when/how to get there and other activities to do that were related. We absolutely loved our stay. They made us feel right at home and like family. They brought us sourdough bread, eggs, and oat milk the day of arrival; such a sweet couple! I was making a short trip to NY for a surgical procedure, an ambitious mission due to my burdensome health issues. I needed somewhere quiet and reliable, in a good location and with access to a full kitchen. Spent hours over several days going through listings, searching through and reading reviews, trying to find a place I could feel confidence in despite my physical limitations. Upon arrival knew I had chosen the right place. Edward was extremely keen to be helpful and very knowledgeable about transport and where I could buy food. Also his family were friendly and charming. What could have been an extremely difficult journey to get surgery went smoothly because I chosen the correct host for my needs. The Shepherd’s Avenue area is residential and quite gentrified while retaining the very colourful combination of Afro Caribbean and Latin cultures and allows for good access to Downtown Brooklyn/Manhattan and JFK. Peaceful, clean, friendly and flexible: recommended.

I had a truly wonderful stay at Veronica’s place! From the moment I arrived, everything was exactly as described, clean and comfortable. Veronica was a fantastic host she was responsive and genuinely welcoming. She went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed for a great stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Veronica again. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a trustworthy safe space.

Claire’s space was massive in terms of a rental in the city! Clean, inviting, spacious, relaxing decor, full kitchen, small balcony where you can sit out comfortably with 3/4 people and listen to the live music directly across the street at the concession stand. Our pup loved the space, she had food bowls ready to go. We loved it and had a beautiful time- great for families! Will stay again.

The Zuhro apartments were just as described. Everything was very clean and tidy. Very close to the metro and not far from restaurants and shops. Highly recommend. I will definitely come back next time I’ll visit New York.

I have stayed at several places in the rockaways and this is the best location so far. very convenient to restaurants, all night deli and other shopping, bus and subway transport, two blocks to the beach. All have some noise from JFKs jets but between location and good windows it was minimal here. The room is spacious with a great bathroom and the walk-in closet is larger than any I have seen other than in movies! The room is a work in progress as when I inquired about the one listed on airbnb, that was taken but Michelle kindly offered this as-yet-unlisted one with the understanding it wasn't fully outfitted yet, but Michelle and Juan (both very friendly) promptly provided a few things I requested. The only negative is bed is a futon on a rigid frame so not as comfortable as my tempurpedic at home, but I actually slept well on it.

Nice place to stay

Great place to stay! Great amount of space. We loved the Christmas decorations for the holidays. This house was in the perfect location from the train station about 8-10 minutes walk! Couple blocks away is different stores, very easy to find what you need! Definitely will stay here again. Very convenient! The kitchen has different appliances, made it easy for us to cook. Enjoyed our stay :)

A quiet location down the street from the beach. This space provided enough space for two people comfortably and was very private. We enjoyed the option to take the ferry ride into the city and back. The host was also accommodating and communicative.

Anne Marie was quick to answer my questions. Also happy she secured a high chair and play pen. 5 bedrooms and room for family to hangout at the end of the evening.
