Holiday rentals with a kayak in Jefferson County

The house was perfect. 2 couples. Very comfortable. TVs everywhere! Beautiful, clean and cozy. We will come back again. Greg and Nicole were great hosts. Quick and efficient communication. Thank you!!!! Next time we can share a few bottles of wine 🙂

I had an amazing stay at Debbie’s place. Her space was clean and had everything as described. She’s very friendly and provided a lot of recommendations around Kentucky since I was driving over from Lexington. She’s also very accommodating. Would highly recommend and would return!!

Charming experience - The house was cute, cozy, and had everything my husband and I needed for a comfortable stay. From the thoughtful touches inside to the peaceful setting, it truly felt like a home away from home. I loved how conveniently located it was—perfect for exploring nearby areas without any hassle. Emily’s place was everything and more. Very clean and exactly like the pictures. It was the perfect location for the Derby and being able to explore towns nearby for bourbon tours. Emily was great to communicate with. Wish the weather was better so we could’ve enjoyed the beautiful yard and kayaking. A must stay if you are in the Shelbeyville area.

We had a fantastic quick stay on our long drive from Maine to Texas! Jack's place was absolutely beautiful, private and cozy! We felt right at home and had everything we could possibly need for our quick trip but it was well stocked for longer visits as well! We loved the views from the huge wrap around porch both morning and night, watched an incredible frosty sunrise and saw fantastic shooting stars on our arrival. We highly recommend Jacks place and would definitely stay again. Jack had excellent communication and his place was impeccably clean. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

A beautiful home that is well designed, intentional, and flavorful in the best way. Art everywhere both inside and out, family photos, excellent décor, an entire room dedicated to feats of baseball, and a master bedroom dedicated to feats of... love. Right like it says on the pillow. Hosts were super communicative, helpful and easy to work with, don't be intimidated by the rules and regulations sheet. Yes, it's longer than a Tolkien manuscript but it is entirely reasonable and ultimately you are dealing with good nice humans who don't want people doing 360 kickflips off their hot tub deck while shooting off fireworks. Pro tip: If you use the hot tub in the morning and you are chill about it, you might see a Cardinal and/or a Blue Jay in the nearby trees 🐦

This was my second time at progress park and we stated in the 502 house for my Daughters Birthday! Even though it rained all weekend, it didn’t stop us from enjoying the outdoors! The game room in the basement was a lifesaver!!! It was beautifully decorated, comfortable, and very clean! The owners were very responsive and easy to get in touch with. I was looking for the password for the TV in the living room and had an immediate response after reaching out. No issues at all!!

Debbie’s place is a gem in Louisville. She is a fantastic host and incredibly accommodating. The bedroom in the basement was cutely decorated and spotless. She took time to show me how to use the game room TV. The private shower didn’t have hot water and one of the handles leaked/sprayed water everywhere, but Debbie offered her own shower for use and has a plumber coming to repair the basement shower in two weeks. Overall a friendly, lovely host. Clear instructions and I would stay again. Thanks Debbie!

We booked to get away and relax and that is exactly what we got. They were so helpful with suggestions on local restaurants and quick to respond. I loved the thoughtful touches like single toiletries in case you have forgotten something. Also, having the plastic food baggies was nice. Everything was clean and cozy. Looking forward to coming back when the weather is warmer and we can enjoy the outside a little more.

What a lovely place!! We needed a little peace and quiet & that’s exactly what we got. Fishing was so much fun & much of the gear was provided. Amenities & necessities were spot on, and the house was super clean & so charming. The hot tub was the icing on the cake! Definitely going on our favorites list!

The cabin was well-equipped with everything we needed, and the peaceful surroundings allowed us to relax and unwind. Whether it was enjoying a morning coffee on the porch or spending evenings by the fire, every moment was special. The kids even caught fish ! I highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat—it’s a place where you can truly feel at home!"

If I could give this 10 stars I would! Beautiful little Cabin with so much history inside. Full kitchen, Cozy living area, sleep number bed was very comfortable. The grounds are beautiful, so many flowers, plants, trees, just perfections and very quiet. Tammy and Jane greeted us as we checked in and showed us around. Tammy also made us breakfast every morning, fresh and homemade and even a to go basket on our last morning. The neighborhood is very peaceful. We were visiting for the derby and wished we had more time to enjoy this little peace of beauty!
