What a wonderful stay on the Elephantine Island! The location was great as everything else. The host Saif is a gentle soul with many talents including healing, cooking, and painting. He prepared delicious omelet and guava juice every morning. Also we were treated to a delicious dinner at his friend’s cafe where we listened to a soulful Nubian Sudanese music while watching the rise of the moon over the Nile. What a lovely introduction to Nubian culture ! This experience restored my faith in people in Egypt after I encountered a predator host in Luxor earlier this month. Thank you Saif! We had a wonderful stay. Tamer was very responsive and helpful. The views are breathtaking and the houseboat is beautiful and spacious, even when sharing with guests in up to 3 other rooms. Caretaker Mahmoud is very welcoming and accommodating and the other staff was kind and made a beautiful breakfast in the morning. Great value for money and would recommend to anyone staying in Elephantine Island. The free boat pick up from the mainland at check-in is a great additional service.

The guesthouse is awesome, esp with the renovations being done. Awesome roof balcony overlooking the Nile, Aswan and the Island. Lovely garden area where you can relax, eat etc. We had a nice packed lunch for our Abu zsimbel trip. Friendly staff and easy to get to with public ferry and ashore walk. Can recommend!
