Holiday rentals with beach access in James City County

It’s a nice apartment with a good location. Everything near to me. I love it.

A comfortable place to stay in Newport News, on the edge of a postwar village of English cottage homes that is quite lovely. Watch your head on the bedroom ceiling, one side is low. And the street traffic can be loud at night, but neither is much of an issue. we would stay again if available!

Very nice space. Perfect team for our family. Bathrooms were different but right next to each other. Be prepared to walk up stairs to the main level. Plenty of room.

Amy and Andy are excellent hosts! I had so much fun. I was just a little disappointed in the wi-fi/internet connection but Andy is doing his best to correct it. This is my second time staying here and I will be coming back! I highly recommend it!

Bernadette's place is a fantastic getaway - very peaceful. The place is exactly as described. I thoroughly enjoyed the use of Bernadett 's kayak and paddle board (as well as walking ans running in her neighborhood and visiting Bethel Beach). I'd love to come back another time!

The Sonshine Home was in such a cute neighborhood with a unique history, mature trees, and only a short peaceful stroll to the beach. The house was so unique & cute and we loved the recommendations Dana shared. We tried out Si Senor, and loved it. We enjoyed making a puzzle in the dining room & sitting around reading after a long day exploring Williamsburg/Yorktown/Jamestown. Things I wish I knew beforehand: the upstairs, where the bedrooms are, runs about 15 degrees hotter than the downstairs, making it very hard to sleep at night unless you set up the fans in the hall and bedrooms to move the cool air into the bedroom to cool it off enough to sleep comfortably. Though there's no filtered water, the tap water tasted just fine. The cowboy tub drains a lot of water out of it, so the water doesn't cover you completely in the bathtub like most cowboy tubs. There's no shampoo/shower gel, etc, provided. A good, responsive host makes or breaks a place and Dana rocked! A 5 star stay!

My family was surprised that we found the house for the price of our stay—and it fit our needs perfectly. It’s dog friendly—we didn’t bring them not realizing this. Urbana is such a cute town. There was even a bike (we didn’t use as we had tons of things to do) !

Of my many Airbnb stays, Laura’s comes up with the very best. Her home is lovely, inside and out, with a lot of fun activities to choose from. Located on a beautiful creek opening to wide water gave us a chance to explore in her kayaks and paddle board. Rainy weather meant indoor board games, reading etc on the beautiful protected porch. The kitchen had all sorts of amenities for cooking. Plenty of bedrooms for sleeping in the peaceful atmosphere. I can’t wait to return there!

Great stay in Hampton! We were close to Captain George’s and Busch Gardens and the host was super helpful with our needs. Highly recommend if you’re traveling with a family and plan on staying awhile!

We had a two night stay with the plan to spend a full day at Busch Gardens with my daughter and two teenage granddaughters. We found this home to be extremely comfortable, and conveniently located about 25 minutes from Busch Gardens. My granddaughters especially enjoyed the fire pit, with wood ready to light, and the supplies to make s’mores! Everything was clean and well thought out with great attention to detail. We look forward to a longer return visit before school in the fall!

this was our second time visiting after 2 years it looked fresh and clean and beautiful as our first stay the house is beautifully appointed with furnishings and all the comforts of home right down to drink shaker and hand mixer needed for me to make goodies to take to my families home nearby they also filled fridge with all sorts of goodies like eggs butter bagels juice pancake mix and strawberries just all sorts of things it really made us feel just like home can’t wait to go back again next year

Loved the space at the Bee Goode residence. The downstairs space with the ping pong table and chess was a great addition. The location was also fantastic and just as described. We walked to several establishments downtown within a few minutes. Ms. Elizabeth made a few recommendations , which we really appreciated. If you can, try The White Dog Bistro in Matthews!

Very nice place peaceful. We enjoyed the balcony. The place was close to everything. We really enjoyed our stay wle will definitely be back. The steps where a little to much but great overall.

Gayle’s place was a great location to stay at with our dog!!! Great neighborhood to walk him in and the marina/beach is an added bonus! Gayle was very communicative and check in was easy. The space of the condo was great for a family and large dog! We will definitely be staying again!

The place was absolutely beautiful and a very nice location it was slightly hard to locate it but it experience was very worth it. Overall W trip and we’d love too stay again potentially.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Gayle was an excellent host! She was great with communication and answered me almost immediately when I asked questions. The place was immaculate. And the bed and pillows were one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on! Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

We have a great stay, it was super close to Bush Gardens making it easy to come back in the middle of the day to relax and take the dogs out. It is on the upper floor but the stairs are not difficult at all. It was a very pet friendly neighborhood.

Gayle’s place was perfect for our family of 7. Each bedroom having their bathroom was fantastic! The decor of the condo was fabulous, and the grounds were gorgeous! Great for a daily walk. The waters view was beautiful! There was every cleaning product you could ever want, which I loved. Whenever, I travel, I always re-wipe everything down (weird- but a bit of a germ a phobia ). Also, the condo is well stocked with all the essentials of a home away from home. The washer/dryer with stocked laundry detergent was a bonus. I went home with clean clothes.-jackpot! The condo is perfectly situated between all the attractions. Colonial Williamsburg, Merchant Square, Jamestown settlement, and Bush Gardens was a pretty and easy 10 -15 ride. Harris Teeter grocery store is 5 mins from Kingsmill. There was a Wawa and Dunkin close by as well. Gayle was most responsive. Any questions, I had, she got back to me immediately. One of the best vacation stays for us!

The condo was very clean, cozy and functional! The neighborhood was very peaceful and neighbors were friendly. There were so many stores, restaurants beaches/parks and fishing areas within minutes. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay, again!!

This is one of my favorite AirBnBs by far!! The value for the price cannot be beat. Lots of little touches to make the house feel like a home and the place is immaculate! Beautiful view of a lake from the balcony and close to a number of amenities if you choose to participate. We have a child and it was nice to be across the street from the playground! Thank you so much!!
