Creatively designed CaveHouse with jacuzzi

Experience an unforgettable holiday in our creatively designed holiday house: CaveHouse Andalucia located in Andalusia, in the middle of the UNESCO Geopark Granada. This unique cave house, carved into the mountain by the owners Reinier & Petra, has been designed in a special and ecological way. It has a special atmosphere, with many natural elements and materials, is comfortably furnished and has a sunny terrace (45m2) with barbecue that offers a wide and beautiful view of the small white country village of Gorafe and the mountain walls of the gorge where the village is located. The charming cave house, of over 100m2, can accommodate up to 5 people. It has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom with a separate toilet. Perfect for families or small groups. The holiday home has a fully equipped kitchenette with microwave, oven, kettle and French press. Crockery is also provided, so you can prepare your meals in the comfort of your own home. For barbecue lovers, there is a BBQ grill on the terrace where you can enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Since the cave has a constant temperature of about 17-20 degrees in summer and winter, it is nice and cool in the summer and the bedrooms are relatively warm in the winter (17 degrees). For cozy winter evenings, we have a fireplace in the living room with free firewood. In addition, there is a jacuzzi where you can relax after a day of exploring. Bed linen is provided and a washing machine is also available. For your convenience, we have also provided a hair dryer. The cave house will soon be connected to the fiber optic network. Right now, we're working on it. In the meantime, you should use your own internet connection on your phone or labtop. The internet reception in the living room is good. Long term rentals are available and we only welcome non-smokers. Pets are welcome. CaveHouse Andalucia is surrounded by beautiful scenery that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site reminiscent of the Grand Canyon of the United States. Discover the area on foot, by (electric) mountain bike or on a 4x4 tour and enjoy the beautiful natural beauty of the region. Book your stay at CaveHouse Andalucia now and experience an unforgettable holiday in this beautiful and special region. We look forward to welcoming you! Cavehouse Andalusia is located in the white village of Goraf . This village is part of the UNESCO Geopark Granada and is also known for its prehistoric dolmens. As mentioned, this beautiful and special nature reserve is reminiscent of the Grand Canyon, a wide canyon with colorful rock formations, some of which look like cream cakes made of yellow and red dough with white "cream puffs" on top. Inhospitable, pristine, grandiose and overwhelming are words that come to mind when you see this for the first time. In the village there is a small supermarket that has everything you need. There are also 2 bar-restaurants and a pharmacy. The village has 368 inhabitants, most of whom live in cave dwellings. The village is part of the UNESCO geopark that you can explore on foot, by mountain bike (rental options, also e-mountain bikes!) or with a 4x4 tour to admire and admire the almost surreal stone desert landscape. 35 km away are 2 larger towns that offer further amenities: Baza to the north and Guadix to the south. The tourist resort of Granada is less than an hour's drive from Goraf (80 km). In the summer months (May-September), the thermal bath, 8 km away, is open with hot water. About the Owners We, Petra and Reinier, discovered the cave houses of Goraf on our holiday-trip through Spain. Instantly falling in love, we bought an abandoned cave to turn it into a holiday home with our own hands, incomparable. For 8 months we have been cutting 80 wheelbarrows of pressed clay out of the mountain every day, shovelling them into wheelbarrows and lugging them down the mountain. What started as a miner's corridor sparsely lit by lamps hanging from nails, has become a unique house that we are happy to show you and experience! House Rules: Check-in time 4 p.m., check-out time 10 a.m. Smoking is not allowed Parking is free at the foot of the hill Pets are welcome Washing machine is included for your use
