Private suite holiday rentals in Jackson County

Our hosts allowed us to book the day we arrived. They were very hospitable upon arrival, during our stay, and at departure. We really enjoyed our stay.

The property n host were amazing. It is quiet, secluded & deep in the woods with a million dollar view - exactly what we wanted. We got there late after dark and it was challenging navigating somewhere new for the first time. GPS/WiFi is spotty until you get to the house so make sure u load directions before leaving the city with a cell signal. This can easily be overlooked when searching several properties on the Air B&B - 1) this rental is on the first floor, pass through the Ground-level second floor porch and go down the back steps - and 2) the house has everything you’d ever need except for an oven/stove (if you planned on cooking). Cathy has done a wonderful job decorating - and the homemade loaf of pumpkin bread makes it one of a kind rental. Oh and finally, we bought some bird food at the store and put it on the top of the deck railing - the colorful birds came non-stop and fully entertained my mother-in-law while sitting out on the back deck.

We loved staying in the private one bedroom/one bath apartment in Janet’s home. Our stay was comfortable and easy. We had our own entrance and private patio to enjoy. Her home is at the end of the road and surrounded in trees and solitude and also only a short drive to amazing hikes. Janet is a super woman and wealth of knowledge having traveled and hiked all over the US and the world. Tap into her knowledge before you venture out on a trail. We look forward to seeing her again.

Great little space for a couple or two. We enjoyed the convenience to downtown Highlands and the private deck. Clean and cute!

Great view and location. Accurately described. Very responsive host. Enjoyed the eclectic book collection. He is very diligent to warn about the steps to the house, which was very helpful. If you are mobile and in reasonably good shape, they're not a problem. Negative would include: Musty smell that required us to buy a candle and open windows and doors frequently to air it out.

Best air B&B stay we have ever had in Highlands. The place was great and Julie thought of everything that a visitor to Highlands would want. We will look to their place first on future visits.

Kathleen was a great host for her home that we stayed in. She was very friendly and available. Everything about the house and property was very lovely. We enjoyed our stay with plenty of room for mom, dad, teen gal and mutt. The place is set between to mountains in a valley along a river. Picture perfect. Scott and Kate are wonderful people. Our stay was excellent. The accommodations are beautiful, very clean, and quiet, with GREAT views from the porch/deck. The hosts went above and beyond with the amenities also. Thank you guys!! We will be back to visit.

Had a great stay at Georgannas in Sylva! The space was very cute and clean, with all the amenities we needed for the weekend! We were able to walk into downtown Sylva from the property. Would stay here again!

I stayed at this property at both the apartment and in the standalone cottage and both were excellent. Was here for about three weeks and I never tired of the views the surrounding area is really beautiful . I’ll never forget my stay here.💯❤️

We had a wonderful stay in Highlands! The cottage was well decorated and clean. Loved the screened in porch! Would highly recommend.

I felt safe here. Not always easy to find a place and feel safe. The rental felt roomy and was clean. I loved the fact we had a functioning kitchen and a washer and dryer! We walked about as much as we used the car. If I had a choice I would go here again and recommend to others.

The Carriage House was clean, great location. Walk to town and so quiet at night to sleep. The grounds are beautiful and walking across field to farmers market a bonus. Communication was great, easy with quick responses. Thanks Katie. We hope to be back next summer.
