Hi, hello, welcome! We invite you to take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. The kitchen is stocked, the hot tub is ready to go, and the local area boasts many wineries, state parks for hiking, and beautiful scenery. This spacious cabin features a comfortable King bed, 55” TV above a gas fireplace, and recently had a top to bottom renovation! The spacious back deck features a large hot tub just steps from the back door, hooks for the provided terry cloth robes, and a Weber grill.

Relax, recharge, and enjoy your time atop this lookout lodge. This lodge sits on 5 acres atop the highest point in the area with a 20 mile view including breathtaking views of Bald Knob Cross. The large living/entertaining area has large windows that open to the back deck which overlooks a lake, farmland, trees, the whole city of Carbondale, SIU campus, and clock tower. It has 4500 square feet with tall vaulted cedar ceilings, large master suite, full basement with game room and more!

Carbondale Pool House - Sauna, Hot Tub, Dogs OK

Rated in “Top 1%” by Airbnb, the Pool House is a separate cottage surrounded by gardens and swimming pool, with retro "Danish Modern" furniture, a gourmet kitchen and plush beds. We have recently added a Finnish Sauna and Japanese Ofuro Soaking Tub. We accept well behaved dogs for a fee of $35 a night. We allow only guests and friends of the Pool House on the grounds, gardens or pool. Hosts are Jane, anthropologist and D. a retired photojournalist for the New York Times.
