Halcoya Hanare, an inn to enjoy the trees

AAA+++. We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful and beautifully located Airbnb in Shizukuishi. The house was spotless, warm and thoughtfully prepared, with everything we needed (and more!) for our visit. It was the perfect base for exploring the surrounding area. Highly recommended. Thank you, Hal.

Apple farmers house 農村の中にある静かな蔵の宿

YukikoRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
I stayed for 5 nights with a family of four. The host was very kind, and from the time of booking, they responded in detail and with just the right distance, so I was reassured. The accommodation itself is charming, spacious, and relaxing. There was a kitchen, so it was helpful to be able to cook simple meals. It was a long trip back home, and the schedule was packed, but it was great to be able to relax at the inn. The various varieties of apple juice available for sale are very delicious, and I bought them many times during my stay. The children also enjoyed drinking it and liked it so much that they sent it home as a souvenir. Thank you very much, Mr. Kitada, the host.I would love to stay again when I return, so I look forward to it.

The house was beautiful and peaceful. Plenty of room for large family. The only regret is that you need to have your own automobile. There is no Uber or easy to find taxi.

Private room (#02) 1 semi-double bed / Guesthouse

JimRating, 5 stars1 week ago
First, let me say that our host Kiyoko was extremely friendly and accommodating and very helpful in renting our bikes from Tourist Information where she works, in planning our day trip around the beautiful and peaceful Tono valley and was always available to answer our questions quickly. She speaks good English and also recommended good restaurants. Our room was very comfortable with super bed and futon with cosy duvets. The shared bathroom and kitchen were excellent with everything we needed. We enjoyed the superb City Museum which Kiyoko recommended, and she also offered us a free tour of a very interesting local temple with a great English- speaking guide. We hope to return for the autumn colours. Extremely highly recommended.
