Island Nature Observatory - Hot Tub Dogs welcome

MarieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
When we booked Otter’s Cabin we were looking for somewhere to relax and have some time to unwind and Otter’s Cabin gave us just that. The cabin itself is rustic and unique but this is exactly what we were looking for. The floating bridge was an adventure with 2 dogs before our day began but they got used to it quickly and by the time we left they were crossing it like pros. The views were outstanding and the seal visitors were a delight to watch. I would highly recommend Otter’s Cabin for anyone looking for a little piece of Scotland to relax in peace and tranquility.

Croft41 - Luxurious Accommodation with Hot Tub

HarrisonRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This place is stunning. The views are incredible. Truly incredible. It was just my wife and I so it was huge for us. But it was a very large space if a large group. WiFi was great. Cute sheep right there in the backyard. I cannot recommend this place enough. We did not use the hot tub so not sure about that. My only warning is take care on the 15-20 minute road there on the single track. Some lethal potholes that if you hit just right would blow a tire.

Cosy Wooden Cabin and Barrel Hot Tub Dogs welcome

KristieRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
An unbelievable and unique place to stay. The barrel was warm and very comfortable (even for my 6’4 husband), the cabin and deck was the perfect for outside/inside living, the bathroom was clean with a warm shower and the hot tub was magical. The stay was everything we hoped it would be and more, thank you King Ian and Queen Jess!

Dry Island is totally unique. We were blessed with the most amazing weather during our stay - so walking over the floating bridge was like walking to another world. Amazing views every way you look. Ian the host is very easy to communicate with and helpful. We were with a family group staying elsewhere in the area, and so didn’t take advantage of a shellfish safari - which would be great.

The stay was absolutely gorgeous and exactly what we needed. The little touches around the house was very warmly received, and the location itself is a great base to visit attractions in Lewis and beaches in Harris (if driving). Asked the hosts twice for specific items, delivered to door promptly. Already considering a 2025 visit! Definitely recommend.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at Angela’s place. It was actually nicer than in the photos! There is a lovely view over the countryside from the living room window. We felt very comfortable and it was about a 10 minute walk into town (a little longer on the way back as it’s uphill!). We were blessed with lovely weather and were able to eat outside at the picnic table one night. There is also a table and chairs inside and the kitchen is well equipped. The sofa was comfortable, as was the bed and everything was clean. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Our stay at this Airbnb in Portree, Isle of Skye, was hands-down the best we’ve ever experienced! The property was absolutely exceptional—stunningly beautiful, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully equipped with every amenity we could possibly need, especially while traveling with infants. The host and co-host were beyond incredible, going above and beyond with their warm hospitality. They welcomed us with complimentary fresh eggs, bread, and delicious cookies, which added such a heartfelt touch to our stay. Every detail was meticulously cared for, making us feel right at home in this breathtaking location. Perfectly situated in centre for exploring Skye, this place is a gem. If we could, we’d give it 10 stars out of 5! Highly recommend to anyone visiting the Isle of Skye—thank you for an unforgettable experience!

This is a beautiful, peaceful and handy location to attractions on the Isle of Skye! Great restaurant at the bottoms of the hill and walkable. Just be mindful of the traffic. Loved watching the lamb’s frolicking in the field behind Alastair’s house. Very responsive! Highly recommend his Croft house❤️

A lovely cottage situated in a beautiful quiet location with only the birds and deer as neighbours. The cottage was warm and the bed very comfy. Kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty of books and DVDs to watch in the evenings once the sun had gone down. A lovely cottage if you want peace and tranquillity. We were also blessed with fantastic weather and we were able to sit outside and enjoy watching the wildlife.

Elizabeth’s home in The Breas is fantastic! It is so charming and Elizabeth is a gem! She is friendly, extremely helpful and just a lovely person. We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed the Isle of Skye, but coming back to the Breas was the best part! Highly recommend.

Luxury cottage, Isle of Skye

JackieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Our first trip to the Island of Skye and what a stunning place! The view from Rhundunan was spectacular and the accommodation was clean, beautifully furnished and equipped with everything we needed - including binoculars to view the local wildlife. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was crisp and clean. Juliet was so helpful and warned us before we arrived that the island relied heavily on Co-op supplies and due to their cyber breach we might need to visit a supermarket on our way through the mainland, rather than rely on supplies being available when we reached Skye. I was very grateful that she had alerted me because even the independent shops were being impacted at the time of our visit. Our time flew by and I really didn't want to leave. I would certainly love to go back again and would love to stay at Rhundunan again too. Thank you Juliet.

The hosts were so lovely and helpful. They allowed us to dry our washing on their personal washing line which was extremely helpful given our clothes had been soaked on our camping portion of the trip. A cosy flat in isle of skye with short drives to hiking routes and plenty of waterfalls. We had a great trip!

Great location to explore the north of the Isle of Skye, there are also some restaurants and a small supermarket nearby. The apartment's amenities are great, especially the dryer, which is very helpful. The sounds of the restaurant guests in the outdoor area were audible in the evening, but did not bother us.
