Grandpa's Cottage

Grandpas Cottage is a pretty unique oasis. The house was originally build by our great grandmother and uncle in 1968 as an upgrade from the semi turf house they previously lived in on the estate. Grandpa and his brothers acquired the house after her passing in the early 1980's. By that time they had all moved to the city and shared the house as a summerhouse and a get away back to their roots. The house is by no mean luxurious or elegant. But it has a lot of soul and a beautiful peaceful wipe.

There’s a nice patio around the cottage where you can enjoy the beautiful nature and view, listen to birds singing in the summer and spot the northern lights in the winter.

Eyri seaside houses is a cozy, warm and brand new guesthouse with a great ocean view, located on our small horse farm. We are located at Hvammstangi but still super private and the only thing you see from the apartments are the ocean and landscape. There are a lot of birds at the beach and there is even a chance that you will see some seals. Every now and then we get some whales in the fjord but it has to be your lucky day to see them.

A beautiful apartment with wonderful views of the water. Spotless and very comfortable. Focus on the environment. Lots of interesting books about Iceland. Close to amazing sites like the Latrabjarg Cliffs and Rauoasandur Beach. We had a lovely time.

Had a really nice stay here on our last night in Iceland. I was very glad to find this place that would accommodate my family of 8 in this rural setting. Wanted to stay close to the national park, and there were not many options other than this. The place was better than I was expecting/pics led on. I was worried we would be cramped, but that was not the case. Other than one of the bedrooms, plenty of space. On that bedroom, I knew going in it would be tight based on pics. In spite of being a bit cramped, not a big deal. Slept fine in that room, and everyone in general slept fine. Main floor was roomier than i thought. Plenty of room in kitchen and other rooms for all. Kids loved the place. Not too far from murals and ocean. Only issue i had was no shampoo in the place. No idea if I knew that before and forgot or should have known it, but it surprised me. Not a big deal. I did not inquire about it either as I was in a hurry. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

This was a beautiful home with an incredible view. We felt right at home, very cozy, all amenities you'd need, comfortable beds, and very spacious and clean. It was a perfect location to explore the Snæfellsness Peninsula. Would book again!

Anna Erla’s home is perfect!! We had a little hiccup after checkin but we reached out and got things all sorted out quickly and with very little inconvenience. The location is incredibly peaceful, the views amazing. The home itself was fully furnished with all the essentials and even some extras!! We felt quite at home in the space.
