My family and I selected Ellie’s house for fall break. We were seeking a destination that would help us recharge, relax and recoup. The setting of this home is so beautiful and relaxing. The back patio is perched above the picturesque Lake Hamlin. The house is equipped with many windows to help you enjoy the view from inside as well. We found just what we were looking for. I must give Ellie the highest compliment possible for her care, responsiveness, and friendliness. We had all needs met and she communicated very well before and during our stay. We would like to come back again someday! My family gives this home a 5/5.

The home was exactly what the pictures and the descriptions showed. The property was beautiful and we appreciated the extras like the games and access to the river. The host (David) was amazing at communicating with us how to long in, the extras of the property like back yard games, local places, and even having some condiments in the fridge. I really appreciated having the house code early and not worrying about it being sent so short to check in. David also sent a follow up message to make sure we could find the place. It was a great property to rent and he was an awesome host. I would make sure to pack mosquito spray as they are bad in the woods. It did stop us from enjoying ourselves a little bit outside.

Wonderful stay – highly recommend! I had a fantastic experience staying at Susie's place! The home was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked with everything I needed. The location was perfect, close to the silver lake, EZ Mart and fuel is right across the street. Susie was incredibly responsive and kind, offering helpful recommendations and making check-in/out smooth and easy. The attention to detail really made the stay feel special. From tour guides to extra toiletries, welcome chocolates. You name it and she had it. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

We had a wonderful stay. This house was well equipped in the kitchen, baths and bedrooms with quality, newer, matching pans/utensils, towels and bedding. Plenty of paper products as well. Lots of space for 7 adults, including a very comfortable living room (2nd on lower level) and beautiful deck with plenty of seating and even a Solo wood stove!

We fit 16 people comfortably in the place and the host was definitely a 5 star host!!!!

Our 3-generational family of 12 spent a lovely time at Sam and Jesse's place. Our group included 2 grandparents, 4 parents, and 6 youth (ages 4-20). We really enjoyed the peaceful setting: plenty of room for the kids to run outside or enjoy a camp fire. Kids loved the lower level entertainment room to watch movies or play games. Adults loved spending hours in conversation on the screen porch. Plenty of space for everyone! We were a 30-45 minute drive to our different destinations, so a car was necessary. There is a gas station with a convenience store very close by for any essentials. The older generation was appreciative of the main floor master bedroom/bath, which allowed them to minimize stairs. Please note: as described by host, the house is not baby proofed and there are no doors restricting access to stairs, home gym, or game room. Therefore children do need to be properly supervised and/or good at following directions about proper use/restrictions of entertainment area and gym.

Rented out with my family! The views were spectacular. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit every night. Home was beautiful full of great amenities. Host supplies you with any toiletries you can think of. Very well equipped. Clean and pristine. Host was quick, friendly, & responsive whenever we needed anything. Would recommend to friends and family!

What a GREAT find! Far enough away from the world, yet close enough to everything you need. Was able to walk my dog each morning with very little traffic and no hills. Gas, grocery, about 10 minutes away...maybe. Jeff was easy to communicate with. Place was as described. Comfortable. No issues. Totally worth staying here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing place with all the things you'd need away from home. Even the beds were nice!

This was our 2nd stay and it was an extended one. Carol is always responsive and warm. We were up there for the last 3 weeks of IAA and had family coming in and out of the area. Working with Carol in advance, so she was aware of our plans, we were able to have grandparents join us for a performance weekend, friends over to get ready for Morp, and plenty of space to re-pack the dorm room for storage and returning home! We were also able to easily work remotely. I honestly hesitate to gush too much about this place - but Carol deserves it! This will always be our go to play to stay when we’re up visiting the Academy!

Such a cute, peaceful place! The hot tub was wonderful, and the home was cozy and well decorated. Would definitely recommend, the hose was so responsive and so sweet!

Tom and Monica's place was very cozy. You feel right at home immediately! They are thoughtful in the touches they have. There's everything you need to enjoy a family get away at the lake. It's a cozy mix of new and old. Beds are on the softer side but very comfortable. We would stay again coming to Manistee.

My family and I had a great stay!! The cabin was very roomy and comfortable. We felt right at home!! I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking to spend quality time with your family!

Fine family home with amenities. Great location close to beach and downtown. Room for big family including cooking and dining. We enjoyed hot tub and fire pit in back. House is posted with helpful tips and stocked with staples and condiments in fridge. Bedrooms and decor were enjoyed by the family.

We came up for my bachelorette weekend, actually found this place as a last minute deal when our first place fell through. The house was beautiful, and everyone had plenty of room. We were able to check in early and the host was very responsive and kind. I would definitely stay here again if given the opportunity!

Our stay was great! Everything was clean and ready for us. The space was good, enough for all of us (7 of us) The outside was beautiful, awesome fire pit, and games to play. John was easy to communicate with and available when needed. A good stay all around.

Nicole’s place was very nice and perfect for our group of five adults and a toddler. We enjoyed our time there and would book it again in the future.

Edward was quick to respond to any questions, and provided excellent recommndations of what was close by, and what amenities were available to us at nearby resorts or stores. The house itself was very clean up on arrival and had pretty much all you'd need to stay!

Becky’s house is exactly as presented. Her house was perfect for our group of 14. If you enjoy golf this is the place to stay. Everything was wonderful and our stay here was enjoyable! We hope to return for an another stay in the future.

Very serene and peaceful. The wrap-around porch pairs beautifully with the heavily wooded and hill-ridden geography. Just down the road is a gorgeous lake and though we did not have the chance to utilize the public lake access, the view at the guardrail on the bend of the road is within walking distance and is a great spot to pull off and enjoy the scenery. Less than 10 minutes away is a great pizza place and a small town bar and grill. There are also a few parks nearby. Highly suggest for a small group looking to escape the bustle, or a group looking for a golf retreat.

We have stayed at many rentals and this was by far one of the better ones. Friendly and responsive host, very clean, well equipped kitchen. This was a family ski weekend rental and it held all 10 of us perfectly. Was easy walk back and forth from skiing. Cozy fireplace. Would definitely rent again. It is a true gem!

Great place for the family. Plenty of things to do at the house. Also not too far from Traverse City or Boyne Mountain. Would definitely stay here again!!
