Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Iowa City

This is a very comfortable, cozy and tastefully decorated place for one or two guests to stay. It’s in a historic neighborhood with friendly people. I found it very convenient to visit other family in Iowa City, who live in a nearby historic neighborhood. The kitchen is so well outfitted, you won’t lack for a thing! Erin’s communication was stellar.

Brady was super accommodating and very easy to communicate with. The space was just as described and easy to stay in. Thanks again for the great experience!

It is a wonderful historic home. It has been beautifully maintained - I assume retaining the original rooms and layout. Early June is a great time to be here - was able to open the windows to take advantage of the wonderful breeze and cool night time temperatures. We had a family reunion and used the space to gather for a family history slide show event for those of us staying there as well as some others who were at hotels. Plugged my computer to an HDMI on the TV (this was one of the questions I had for Doug prior to the stay, and he responded immediately confirming that the flat screen TV would be able to do that). The house is set back from the street with lots of gardens. Awoke one morning to a sleeping buck out the side, and a doe with two fawns in front. Very peaceful. Lightening bugs too!! Thank you, Doug!!

My family and I had an unforgettable stay at Amy's place. It was perfect for our party of 6. The house has a spacious, open living/dining/kitchen area. Plus the bedrooms are quiet and spacious, too. Great showers with strong water pressure and those towels others have mentioned! We loved everything about this place and plan to return in the future. The house is even nicer than the photos show, and it's on a beautiful, peaceful land. And Amy was one of the best AirBnB hosts I've ever stayed with. She was helpful and kind, and we are grateful for this experience.

Great location and great host! We had to book this house at the last minute, and Greg was very responsive. He was also flexible to give us a late check out when that was really needed. Overall, the house was perfect for our needs and we would stay there again.

Joan’s place was beautiful and perfect for me while I worked in area Joan worked with me on checking in early was also very clean and had all the amenities I needed for the week loved being able to park in garage especially because I had to leave for work in the middle of the night felt very safe the area itself is a very nice area everyone’s yard in the area is pristine their flowers are beautiful I would highly recommend Joan’s place .

Very comfortable and well decorated apartment. Extremely clean, great location and numerous thoughtful extras. Highly recommended if you ever need a stay in Iowa City.

Me and the rest of the groomsmen I was traveling with needed a place to crash between events for a wedding. Was super clean and nice, comfiest couch I’ve ever slept on felt like a brand new man afterwards. The queen bed was great the smaller beds weren’t bad (all of us are over 6 feet tall it wasn’t the beds’ fault) the ACs kept up wonderfully with the mid 80s weather and plenty of fans to stay cool as well. If I ever find myself needing a place to stay in the area again I will be booking here!

Totally will use them again in the future. We used the rental for our churches anniversary young guest speakers. They loved the area, had a great time in the pool and whirlpool!

Amazing stay for a couple. Definitely would recommend.

Stayed here for one week to attend training event. Good location with easy access to downtown and local shopping. Great area for food and dining. Was disappointed outside deck was closed for repair. Keypad entry was a nice feature. All linens were clean. Hot water for showers was great. Nice touch to have various body wash and shampoo mounted to wall of shower. Wifi signal was strong. Beds were very comfortable. Room darkening blinds was a nice feature. AC was ice cold. One bedroom does not have AC and gets a little warm, but fans were provided to make it tolerable. Didn't have any problems during our stay. Owner was responsive when I did reach out.

Such a relaxing place for my baseball-playing son and I to relax. There was a craft fair on the street below us one day. Lovely places to grab a beverage or bite to eat within a block, which makes most things very walkable. Plenty of outdoor seating options at nearby restaurants, bars, coffee shops. for summer days/evenings. Very quiet outside at night when you want it to be. Drug store and Hy-Vee also nearby. Hosts provided some of the best hospitality and communication I’ve experienced in an AirBnb.

Great condo! Kitchen had everything we needed to pull off the perfect Thanksgiving feast! Earl is a great communicator. We felt very much at home. Will definitely look to rent from Earl in the future.
