There is a separate indoor bath from the Hinoki bath, but the view of Setouchi and the starry sky from the Goemon bath, heated with firewood, is the best. If you're lucky, you'll see artificial satellites and meteors. The water heated by firewood never gets cold. It warms you from the core of your body. The bedding is specially ordered from a long-established bedding manufacturer in Kyoto, and the bath invites you to relax your body and mind and sleep soundly. Most guests say they sleep well. During the day, you might want to spend some time in the lounge filled with houseplants. Enjoy the sunlight shining through the trees from the skylight. Here, the right answer is to do nothing and just be. How about emptying your mind? If you request at least a week before your stay, we can prepare local food from Oshima Island and seasonal food that we can get through a special route. If you wish, you can also dine at a counter made of pure cedar, similar to a traditional Japanese restaurant.

You can leisurely watch the sunset over the calm sea. Dinner at the popular restaurant "Umimachi Bar Ameri", where you can enjoy the local cuisine and music, is one of the highlights of the trip. Located to the west of Oshima, Omi is a tranquil place surrounded by mountains and the sea. It is also ideal as a base for cycling and island tours. In the early morning, a walk along the calm sea, surrounded by tranquillity and the song of birds, is a truly soothing experience. Right next to the inn is the entrance to the approach to Himezaka Shrine, and the narrow slope lined with old houses from the early Showa period is also recommended for a walk.From the path through the mandarin orchard that leads up to the shrine, you can enjoy stunning views of the sea and the islands. At night, the sky is filled with stars, and in summer, the Milky Way shimmers. Enjoy a relaxing time surrounded by the sounds of records, accompanied by coffee, local orange juice or wine. It's a place where time like that passes. For BBQs, a gas grill can be rented (separate charge). Please purchase food and beverages at supermarkets or other stores on the island. Spending time outside around a fire naturally leads to conversation. As the entire building is rented out to one group per day, You can enjoy your stay at your own pace, without worrying about your surroundings. A sauna is also available (separate charge). Warm up and feel the breeze outside. Amidst this cycle, there are moments when you suddenly realise you are 'here and now'. Relax in a small port town. We renovated a traditional house that is about 70 years old. Relax in a small house in a port town. Because it is an old house, there are steep stairs (with handrails) and steps. We appreciate your understanding and caution if you have small children or have difficulty walking. This is a private inn attached to a renovated warehouse cafe. It is a safe and convenient location within walking distance of the limited express station, shopping district, and the famous "Zenigata sand painting". At the end of the garden, there is a large river and the famous mountain of "Sora no Torii", where you can enjoy a pleasant walk along the river in the morning, walk around the city during the day, and enjoy the garden lights at night. The cafe serves delicious bread, coffee, and deli (open Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm) and occasionally hosts events such as cooking classes and weddings. Free parking is available. It is located near a bus stop and along the main road, so please use it as a base for your travels. Breakfast is also available upon request.

This is the only accommodation near Shin-Onomichi Station. The accommodation is a traditional Japanese house, and you will stay in the main house. Limited to one group per day, it can accommodate up to 4 guests. Only one dog can stay with you (but it must be kept in a cage in the tatami room). Because it is close to the Shinkansen, there is noise and vibration every time it passes. It may not be suitable for those who are sensitive to sound. (It is quiet because it does not operate from 11:40 pm to 6:20 am) If you are staying with 2 people, you can have separate bedrooms. Or you can combine two single beds to make a double bed. Please let us know what you need. Please be careful as smoking is not allowed.

"Log House" on Ikuchi Island

We have the second house in Ikuchi Island. You can stay there whenever we don't use it. Please check in between 3pm and 11pm. Please pick up this house key from the key case on the premises. There is no WIFI in this house. There are no restaurants or convenience stores nearby. There is a cafe nearby, but it closes at 5pm. There are no street lamps around the neighborhood. Please turn on the outdoor light when stepping out at night.
