The place was absolutely magnificent and nothing short of amazing. It looks exactly like the pictures. Very aesthetically pleasing. The views from the balcony were spectacular! Definitely home away from home. Cathy is also a very friendly and responsive host.

Felt like paradise! Surrounded by greenery with a beautiful view of the beach from the porch. Interior is stunning, homelike and beds and linen are so so comfortable. Everything you need! Super close to wonderful Thompsons beach and lovely swimming pool right by the unit. Caroline is an exceptional host! We will be back!

We had the most wonderful stay. Location was safe and easily accessible to a lovely beach and tidal pool. The accommodation was spacious yet cosy, with well thought out touches. A perfect 3-generation holiday, we will definitely be back.

Iryna is a great host. We had a couple hiccups- but, she was always responsive and really friendly and always willing to help. Really enjoyed the place and my dogs were in heaven.

From start to finish our stay at Kathy’s was super. Friendly and helpful Kathy was always on hand to answer questions and provide helpful suggestions of best swimming spots and places to get coffee or something to eat. We would definitely recommend a stay here!

We had a fabulous stay in this stunning unit. Extremely comfortable, with everything you could possibly need. The views are just beautiful. Unfortunately we had to check out a day early as my elderly mom was ill, but we will definitely book again in the near future. Thank you for sharing this beautiful space with us.

I had an incredible stay at this property during my recent family trip to Durban! The property was exactly as shown in the photos—clean, spacious, and offering stunning sea views that made the experience even more memorable. The location was incredibly convenient, with everything we needed just a short walk away, including the beach. The Simbithi estate provided a peaceful and refreshing environment, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Heather, the host, was exceptional—attentive, warm, and truly made our stay enjoyable. I can’t wait to stay here again on our next visit to Durban! Highly recommend!

Beautiful spot, perfect for a family holiday! Easy access to the beach, wonderful entertainment area where watching kids in the pool is easy! Could do with a few hooks for towels etc outside by the pool and outside shower, but other than that small suggestion, we loved our stay!

Wonderful stay! Pellagia, the housekeeper, was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. The accommodation was perfect for our family, with thoughtful touches like toys, kids' plates and bowls, and board games that kept the little ones entertained. The place was spotless when we arrived, and the daily cleaning service was fantastic. The beach towels and chairs were a lovely bonus. Big thanks to Catherine for making our stay so special. We highly recommend this accommodation!

Great open plan & spacious home! The master bedroom particularly stands out! The estate is great with a variety of places to eat and explore. Appreciated the facilities as we had a toddler so this made life a lot easier.

Melissa was simply theeee best!!! We at no point felt neglected, the checking in was the smoothest I’ve ever had, driving to the place, she kept checking on us, we arrived late but she stayed up until late just so she can be able to assist us check-in. The place is amazing, more beautiful in person that it even is on the pictures, the view is breathtaking!!! With the sea breeze, we walked to the beach, for less than 3 minutes, that’s how close it is to the house. My friends and I really enjoyed our stay at Melissa’s, apart from the above mentioned, Melissa has humanity and we found that gold about her! She’s not just making money from here guests but she’s considerate of them and makes sure they’re happy and convenienced.

We had a wonderful stay with family, including our 2 young kids. The view is incredible! The house is beautiful, nice and clean (Jenny the domestic worker helped keep it that too throughout our stay). A short (if somewhat steep) walk down the path to a lovely beach complete with rock pools and a small river that the kids really enjoyed. There is large braai and also a webber which was really handy for feeding a big family. We arrived early and Nadine was kind enough to allow us flexibility in the check in time which is always so appreciated. I hope we will be back!

This home had excellent accommodation for our large family gathering. The 8 bedrooms are spread across 3 floors - 3 top, 3 ground and 2 on the lower level, which is only accessible from outside (not ideal for children). The bedrooms are all large, each with a spacious and elegant en suite. The interior and exterior living spaces are extensive and well laid out, with plenty of lounge seating and dining tables. The top floor and ground floor both have large, furnished decks. The Zimbali estate offers access to fantastic facilities, including multiple pools spread across the estate and various sports activities. The beach is accessible, but is non-swimming at Zimbali. There are strict estate rules (eg entry gate, speeding, noise, etc), but none that affected the enjoyment of our stay. There were a few minor issues (eg not enough keys, communication), but not quite enough to lose a star. Overall, we had an awesome and enjoyable long weekend.

The space was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities I could possibly need for a comfortable stay. What a stunning place, comfortable ,beautiful with lovely veranda, comfortable beds and great TV for entertainment. Andrea was a lovely host, received us well with my family. The place also has easy access to the beautiful serene beach.

Our family loved our stay at the Zimbali Suites. The location is beautiful, the apartment is well equipped with lots to do in and around Zimbali. The fridge broke down and Wendy and team arranged for an alternative within a very short time. Getting in and out of Zimbali as a short term rental is a bit of a pain with all adults needing to bring their drivers license or ID with every time but it keeps it nice and safe for everyone. Having to rely on the shuttles to get to around also takes a bit of planning but was worth the effort. Highly recommended.

Lovely unit in the Balwin Ballito Hills estate. Everything was on point and almost felt like home away from home. Smart home control by Alexa took some getting used to, but fun and convenient to use. Unit has everything to ensure a good long or short term stay. Domestic came in twice a week. Even helped with personal laundry. Security is tight and access control took some effort to get working but once set up properly worked effectively. We made good use of the estate pool, cafe, padel courts. Owner was easy to deal with and he responded timely when texted. Will definitely return if required.

Aruba is a very beautiful, well-maintained estate close to Thompsons Bay in Chaka's Rock, Ballito. The gardens are very well kept and manicured and provides privacy to each individual unit. Dominique's unit is no different and offers loads of space and privacy. The air conditioners in the bedrooms offers much needed relieve after a hot day on the beach and the private patio is a welcome place to unwind with a cold drink. Dominique and her associate welcomed us with open arms and left us with fresh juice, charcoal, fire starters, some eggs and clear instructions about how everything works. Ballito had some power issue, so Dominique even bought the unit a portable gas burner to use, which we did. Dominique is a very special host, offering a very special space, walking distance from beaches and restaurants. We will surely visit again.
