Cosy house with a breathtaking view
Hydra is a very popular island because of its picturesque capital, full of red-tiled houses and stone-paved narrow alleys. Hydra is one of the few areas in Greece for which there is preservation order. Access to the island of Hydra is easy It can be reached from the port of Piraeus by hydrofoil in just one and a half hour. The particularity of Hydra Greece is that all vehicles are prohibited, a fact which increases its charm. The house is in the middle of the amphitheatrical city of Hydra and it’s a 10-15 minute walk from the port. 2 floor house in the centre of Hydra Island with a breathtaking view which can be enjoyed from all the rooms of the house. On the ground floor the veranda has 2 levels. The 1st level outside the kitchen, is covered with ceramic tiles that provide cool and shade throughout the day, which makes it a pleasure to have all meals outside enjoying the beautiful view. On the 2nd level of the veranda you can sunbathe during the day or lie on comfortable chaise longues at night and have a cocktail under the stars. Entering the house there is a fully equipped kitchen, big oven with ceramic hobs, dishwasher and a 2nd mini fridge. One room which accommodates 2 people in 2 single beds with a WC- shower and a washing machine that you can use. This room can also be used as a dining room as there is a table for 6 people and it is quite spacious with 2 windows and a perfect view. On the 1st floor there are 2 bedrooms which sleep 4 people and a bathroom with a shower. Each bedroom has got 2 single beds (they have small wheels) which can be used either separately, or as double beds by joining them and putting an extra thin double mattress on top. There is an air-conditioning unit in each of the two bedrooms upstairs and 3 portable fans. Passing through the 1st room there is another veranda that gives a wider view of the island.

The studio is part of a bigger traditional old Stone house, fully renovated and with great view to the harbour. One reaches the houses in 10-15 minutes walk (and stairs) from the port depending on each person's pace. Hydra is amphitheatricaly built and there are a lot of cobble stone stairs around town and leading up to the house so ...not for everyone! new mandatory government fee has been introduced: the “Climate Crisis Resilience Fee”, amountingto €8 per night for short-term accommodations

Our parents build this wonderful house in the traditional architecture of Hydra. The house is located in the picturesque fisherman's harbour of Kamini, more quiet and peaceful compared to the lively and cosmopolitan port of Hydra. It is 15 min walk from the central port of Hydra (along a scenic road next to the sea) or 3 min by water taxi. The house is only 90 steps(usually are more than 200) from the Kamini sea side road but the spectacular view from the terrace make it worth the effort.

Also, the house is only 10-12 minutes away from the port to the centre of the island dy foot following a road with stairs.

Built during the 19th century but recently renovated and redecorated, it is the first year that it is available for rent.
