We felt super comfortable and would definitely book this place again. Elisabeth is a great hostess. We had a very warm welcome and also the stay was more than satisfactory for us. The kitchen furnishings were fabulous.

We felt very comfortable! The apartment is a good starting point to explore the north.

We stayed at the cottage for Easter weekend and were extremely happy with everything. The cottage was great in every way — spacious and tidy, with tons of space for the whole family. It was especially nice to have the guesthouse. The hot tub was wonderful – perfect after a day of hiking and to enjoy quiet evenings under the stars. Everything was there that we needed, and the communication with the owner was very good and easy. We would definitely come back and highly recommend this cottage!

How nice is it that you "come home" on your trip?! In Heiðrún's place it is just that!! Spacious, clean, full of comforts, such as an extensive kitchen, washing machine, nice shower, excellent and cozy sitting room and beautiful outdoor space. In addition, this is a completely private and released cottage. I felt alone in the world: exactly what we were looking for. And then finally that jacuzzi... delicious! Enjoy with temperatures around freezing in a 40-degree bath… and with a bit of luck: the northern lights ✳️ Thanks again!!

Very beautiful house in a very private location. All Information on how to find it were provided so we even found it at night since we arrived there at 3am. We found it to be bigger in real life than it looked in the pictures which was a positive suprise. Especially the living room and the upper floor bedroom.

We enjoyed our two nights at Vilmundur's very much. What a paradise, more beautiful and fun than in the photos. Nice and spacious, cozily furnished, very nice outdoor space. Also great for our 1.5 year old daughter. Our nicest stay in Iceland and then also northern lights seen from the hot tub.

The house is a true dream. In the cutest spot and it has more than anything you could ask for. Only note, the link to the address leads to a wrong road. It is better to follow the host’s instructions to get to the house.

Heidi and Rob are excellent hosts. We enjoyed our stay so much. The home is beautiful and well equipped. They provided directions with photos to get to Nes that were very helpful. We will be staying at one of their homes again when coming back to Iceland!!!!! Thank you!!!

The place was great for our stay along the ring road :)

House was very small, but everything was available - we felt very comfortable. The highlight was the trampoline for the kids. The hosts were super friendly and gave us tips. The only small negative point was the strong sulfur smell of the hot water (stronger than we have otherwise experienced).

As described, outside 5/5 if I had watering.

We had a lovely stay at the summer house. We were in a great location to see so many wonderful areas in the northwestern parts of Iceland. The nearby town has everything you need. The house was beautiful and clean. The hot tub was wonderful as were the surroundings. There was a lovely garden and flowers which made it very relaxing. And, unlike many places you will find in I eland, there were many mature trees. Really a wonderful experience. I would recommend it strongly for families with three or fewer children.

Hvammur cottage was a great stop on our journey in the area. It had all the needed amenities and was described and shown accurately.

What an amazing gem . The location is perfect to explore Iceland . The cabin has everything you need , clean, tidy and spacious . We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves . The hosts were really kind and left us biscuits as well as provide a taste of the local delicacy. The kids had a blast in the snow and the northern lights were spectacular from the cabin.

Jon's place was just what we needed and was just as advertised - we had a lovely stay & the cabin had all we needed for 1 night - the view in the morning was amazing! Thank you for letting us stay

Quiet and peaceful summer house next to a sweet horse farm. Very comfortable beds and homey atmosphere. Green grass as far as the eye can see. I wish I were there right now!
