Fossil Cottage is a unique small cottage right by the seashore on the Isle of Skye, one of the world's favourite islands. It was built in 2020, has 2 double bedrooms, large lounge/dining area/kitchen and bathroom with walk in shower. It is located in the village of Dunan, 5 miles from Broadford. The house is directly above the seashore with views to the Island of Scalpay across Loch na Cairidh, the Old man of Storr and to the mountains of the mainland and the wall to ceiling windows highlight the beautiful views

Ideally located for gentle strolls from the house to the local beach and to explore this Scottish Site of Scientific Interest. Perfect for twitcher and wildlife enthusiasts, you may even catch a glimpse of an otter and seals! This is also an ideal launch site for your own kayak/canoe/SUP to just paddle around. From here you can also explore the rest of the island and mainland at your leisure.

Otter Bothy

Otter Bothy is a small, self contained cabin right on the banks of West Loch Roag, in the village of Carishader, perfectly situated for wildlife, fishing, walking, cycling, surfing and kayaking. Otter Bothy is situated beside Otter Bunkhouse, but offers private accommodation in a small but very cosy cabin, with spectacular views across West Loch Roag. At only a few metres from the shoreline, there aren't many places as close to the water as this! The minimum stay is 2 nights. No dogs.

Key attractions including Portree, the Old Man of Storr, the Fairy Pools, Talisker Distillery are all approximately 30 - 40 mins away.
