Beachfront holiday rental in Hushinish

We enjoyed a delightful long weekend at Croft 41. The house was perfect for our needs (two families with kids), the location absolutely stunning, and the wood-fired hot tub was also real highlight! Rachel is a very friendly and communicative host. Would definitely return in the future if we were looking to stay in this beautiful corner of Skye.

Norman and Leona are very friendly and great hosts. The cottage was cosy clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location is looking out to the most beautiful beach and scenery. 5min walk to beach. If you like peace and tranquility this is the place to stay. It's location is ideal to travel to other parts of the island. Norman and Leona are around if you need help with anything but they do not intrude on your privacy. I would definitely recommend to stay here. Thank you Norman and Leona we had an amazing holiday.

The cottage was adorable and the location absolutely beautiful! We spent some time on the beach soaking in the sunset over the water. Phil was a fantastic host - super attentive and informative. Wish we could’ve stayed longer!

A beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. David and Jayne have lovingly restored this little house into a great 2 bed holiday home. It is thoughtfully laid out for self catering and a joy to stay in. Plenty of space, not too much clutter and it’s super. clean. Would recommend to anyone. We loved our stay and were sad to leave!

Komfortabel eingerichtete und offensichtlich kürzlich renovierte Wohnung, in der quasi alles vorhanden ist, was man braucht, um ein paar Tage dort zu verbringen. Die Lage ist sehr praktisch; nah am Zentrum und am Fähranleger. Einkaufsmöglichkeit gleich um die Ecke.

It’s a wonderful place to stay! One of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever seen in my life. It’s also centrally located on the Isle of Skye, which makes it a strategic spot to spend a few days. The accommodation is perfect and very peaceful ! Thank you Mags

Wonderful location, right on a beautiful sandy beach. The cottage was really nice with everything we needed. It was a great base to explore Lewis and Harris. As someone who likes to watch birds, there was lots of activity in the area. There are sea eagles in the area, I saw them flying above the cottage 6 out of the 7 days we were there.

When we arrived at Juliet’s cottage we instantly knew we were in for a treat. With lambs and bunnies literally outside the front door - we felt fully immersed in nature. The cottage has been beautifully decorated with extra special touches including the local artwork and textiles. We absolutely loved our stay, and feel incredibly grateful that we were lucky enough to experience Skirnish Cottage whilst on a trip visiting Scotland (where my family is originally from) with our 1 year old before our next baby arrives!

The most beautiful view from a holiday home we have ever seen, we really didn’t want to leave! The owners have thought of everything, from every cooking utensil, to loads of storage space, even deep drawers in the bathroom to store toiletries, beautiful cosy decor, very clean, very peaceful, just the sound of birds, most relaxing place we have ever stayed. We would have booked 2 weeks but we did a last minute holiday and had to move location after 1 week. Loads of info about local excursions and amenities in the area and also a house manual. Thankyou to the owners for quick response when messaged and thinking of everything one may need for a relaxing holiday.

An absolutely stunning house, with everything you could need. A great location for exploring an amazing island. Una was so helpful with any questions I had and responded very quickly. As a family of 6 (2 pensioners, 3 adults and on teenager) we found the space worked great and the location was lovely.

Amazing cabin with a stunning view in the middle of nature, very quiet but not far from nice pubs, cafés. A good spot to start very nice walks to the beach. Will definitely come back again!

The photos don’t do the house justice. It really is beautiful and the attention to detail is amazing. There is everything you could need including binoculars for bird and seal watching. They even left a towel to dry the dogs off - which we were thankful for as we had forgotten ours. The location is fabulous - great views over the water and a ten minute walk to the beach which was pretty much deserted. Our dogs, who love water, really were living their best life. Janet and Joelle were really responsive to any questions we had - even though they were away on holiday themselves. I can’t fault it in anyway at all - all I will say is take your wellies (even in the summer), some midge repellant and tick treat your dogs before you go. Thank you for a great first stay on the Isle of Skye.

Absolutely stunning location, helped by the most amazing weather. Beach at end of garden. Beautiful wild swimming spot, safe sloping beach. Bed linens and kitchen equipment lovely quality. Slept really well. Walking distance to Reef beach, mile long stretch of white sand. Perfect get away and the dog loved it too.

Great place to stay in Portree. Beautiful view of the harbor right out the front windows. There is public parking on Quay street along the pier, and down near the dock. It is easy to get a spot in the evening if you wait for the boat tour traffic to clear out. It's very walkable to restaurants, shops and cafes. Overall, would recommend to anyone coming to the Isle of Skye!

Such a beautiful opportunity to experience the quiet and authentic side of Stornaway. We loved every minute we spent at The Bunker! The views were spectacular and the sunrises/sunsets ever changing. The kitchen was sprinkled with locally baked treats and even homemade jam for us to enjoy. It was such a delight. The only drawback, for me personally, is how I move forward with no warming towel rack in my life!! I can’t unfeel the delightfulness of warmed clothes on a chilly morning. They are not common in the states. On a scale of one to ten, The Bunker was easily a 72 ;).

La maison est charmante, joliment arrangée, et contient tout ce qui est nécessaire, avec, en plus, de petites attentions des propriétaires, et beaucoup de suggestions pour les visites de l’île de Skye. One of the BEST Airbnb’s I’ve ever stayed at in terms of thoughtfulness, cleanliness & instructions. Not exaggerating. The location & view is outstanding & the whole experience idyllic. They really did think of everything a guest could need or want while touring Isle of Skye. None of us wanted to leave & we all would go back. Easy checkin/checkout. Many recommendations & clear instructions. We were so grateful for all the thoughtful touches & uncluttered space. I think a highlight for our party was simply the layout of the downstairs which was perfect for a dinner in with a view. We just enjoyed spending time there & wished we could be there longer. We had an incredible stay at Aline Lodge. The lodge is really beautiful - top marks for all the fires having firewood, firefighters, and matches all ready to go. The electric Aga means the kitchen is always warm, and the view is world class. We went fishing twice (caught 11 trout!), clay pigeon shooting, used the sauna, and played table tennis and billiards. The kids went out on the boat around the loch and saw sea eagles, golden eagles, seals and a porpoise. Robert the gamekeeper was great - really responsive and happy to help. Could not recommend this highly enough - we will be back!

Amazing location with beautiful views of the harbor from every window. Spotlessly clean with comfortable beds, great kitchen and spa like bathrooms. Every place was walkable and we loved our stay there.

We stayed in this house as a party of five (parents + two teenagers + grandpa), and found the house perfectly laid out for a group. Each bedroom has its own en-suite, which was so convenient, and the living area and kitchen had plenty of seating for us to congregate around. The washer and dryer were super helpful for doing laundry (a rack and small fans are provided too, to finish off any clothes still damp from the condensation dryer). We didn't do any super complicated cooking, but the cooking we did was easy with the double oven, stovetop, and dishwasher. The view is unbeatable. Like just something from a postcard. We'd sit down in the morning and mean to turn something on the TV and end up staring out the window instead. We were there during a blustery GALE and the house was still completely airtight and snug, no drafts or anything. Uig is a bit more far-flung (although it has a couple restaurants and a shop), so be sure to plan for groceries and drives accordingly.

Gorgeous views and comfortable, light filled spaces. Super beds and elegant decor. Highlights included ordering lobster from local fisherman and the nearby hikes. Alan and Gill kindly let us check out 30minutes later after I suffered a health emergency on our final night.

Harbour House was the perfect place to stay for our trip to the Isle of Skye. The views are amazing and proximity to hikes, distilleries, etc. was exactly what we were looking for! Fiona was very helpful in sharing directions and recommendations leading up to our stay. We hope to be back sometime in the future!

We had a wonderful time at the house. The architecture is beautiful and the view stunning. The kitchen was fully stocked and a supermarked is just a 10 min drive away Therefore we had nice breakfast and dinner at the house. George prepared a lovely welcome present with nice cookies and crisps. We would highly recommend staying at George‘s place.

This was such an amazing place! My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and had an awesome time. Definitely recommend if you’re wanting to stay on the lower end of Isle of Skye. Thank you Jane for your hospitality!
