Off Grid Vermont Cabin-Hike-Write

An off grid cabin in the hills of Vermont with a spectacular view of Camel's Hump. Not for everyone, (no running water, spotty cell service) but if you want quiet, beauty and solitude, this place is for you. A writer-hiker's dream. If it's chilly, the cabin's heated. There's also an ice pack (provided) fridge, propane stove, solar electricity for lights, composting toilet (no smell. Really), pots, cooking utensils, dishware etc We allow one dog (only ONE, please!) for a fee $25 per stay.

This peaceful spot rests between Burlington and Stowe in the largest section of the VAST trail with THE BEST mountain biking and hiking! This is a spacious loft efficiency apartment above a garage with a private balcony. Sugarbush, Mad River, Bolton Valley, Lake Champlain, all nearby. New hot tub! Cold plunge! Wifi and WiFi calling! New stove and fridge! You will need ALL-WHEEL DRIVE to get here in the WINTER and spring during MUD SEASON.

Waterbury Center Guest Bedroom - 244 Howard

The guestroom room is very cozy with radiant heat in the floor during the winter. The separate entrance is off a covered porch. The porch has chairs and a table and is very pleasant in the warmer months The little kitchen alcove is convenient for coffee or tea or a light meal. We live in a historic building and our neighborhood is located very close to Rte 100. Waterbury village and Stowe as well as skiing, hiking and biking are all nearby.

The Sled at Fielder Farm

The road to the Sled at Fielder Farm gently winds its way out of the Huntington Valley and into the foothills on the western side of Camel's Hump. The road follows and crosses one of the many mountain brooks swelling the Hunting River as it rushes for the Huntington Gorge downstream. Regardless of the season, the diverse landscape occupied by Fielder Farm offers visitors a variety of activities right out the front door.
