Family-friendly holiday rentals in Huacas

This is such an amazing house in the Potrero area. Just a quick drive up the hill from downtown, easy access to restaurants in the beach. The caretakers went above and beyond to make our stay special, and the hosts were really responsive when needed. As other reviewers have said the pictures don’t nearly capture how wonderful the view is from the property. We were surprised by the overall size in space in the house, it was much larger than we anticipated but very nice to have all of the room. I would recommend this property for an upscale getaway to anyone.

Great location, our only wish is that the property would have an elevator. Everything about this condo was exactly as listed, great private beach to anyone that finds this place.

Beautiful Condo. Amazing 5th floor view from the patio and master bedroom. Large living/dining room and the kitchen is fully equipped. Both bedrooms are large with lots of closet space. Great to have access to a washer/dryer. Huge pool and the condo is right across the street from a resort with beach access. Very close to plenty of restaurants. Convenience near by. We did have difficulty utilizing the safe as the key/lock seemed worn out.

The place is amazing. Best venue in the area by far. Very secure and exclusive. Great grocery store onsite. Excellent pools. Very comfortable accommodations. Loved it!

Great condo, plenty of space and easy access to the beach via shuttle! Comfy beds and all amenities you need ! I would love to stay again!

The villa is super well equipped, has all the comforts to spend a few quiet days and rest!

My wife and I stayed 2 nights at Ilyas place. We had asked Ilya for recommendations of places to eat and see while we were there and he sent over detailed messages of places around the area. He provided us a thorough walkthrough of the condo and the property. Made us feel right at home. We will definitely stay here again if we find ourselves back in Coco

The villa is beautiful and cozy, it has everything you need for a family stay. The boys loved the place and the pool. It is very quiet and safe, super recommended. We read reviews of people who said what the place doesn't have but there are supermarkets around to fill any missing.

Absolutely five star location, condo and resort. So many amenities and attention to details at the condo. We were a family of four with grandparents joining and the condo was the perfect fit! We were all drawn to the wrap around porch and hammocks instantly. As other reviewers stated Andreina is super sweet and helpful. We were able to explore the resort and take advantage of the pool as well as several private beaches within the property. I would highly recommend going to a grocery store on the way in or having them delivered upon arrival. The kitchen was so well stocked we ate almost every meal at the condo for the week we were there. On our last day the howler monkeys came right to the the trees across from the condo to wish us fare well! What an unforgettable trip! Hope to one day be lucky enough to return!

As a scuba diver this is THE place. Beachfront, accesible price, ideal for large groups as there are lots of beds. Walkable to restaurants nearby. Good internet, AC, web equipped kitchen. Juan Carlos was responsive at all times and made us feel like home. Extra points: there’s a beautiful brown dog watching the property

What a spot for a vacation! The location was prime and the room itself was well suited for everything you need. This is a hidden gem in the area. Things I appreciated the most: The ocean was steps away for a swim at anytime. The shop keepers and restaurant owners downstairs are great people and pleasant to talk to during your stay. Waffle monkey (breakfast) and Portofino are the best spots for breakfast, fresh seafood, low cost happy hours, and fire show at night during sunset. You can literally walk anywhere in minutes. There is 3 separate door with locks to get to your top floor rental so this spot is very safe! If you are lucky, you'll notice a 5 foot iguana that rests in the trees to your right off the porch, spending days in the trees. Alvaro is the mgmt person who helps you. He speaks great English and responds rapidly to questions. Can't wait to return and bring family. The two units next to each other would be an ideal joint rental for a group of 5-7 people. Highly recommend!!!

Awesome place to stay! Beautiful view! A short walk to the beach and some local shops - it is a steep hill, but there are stairs. Staff and other guests were extremely helpful and friendly. There was more than enough room for our family of four. When we needed assistance with an air conditioner, Floribeth was quick to respond, and had a repair person there in no time - problem fixed immediately. We were not planning on returning to Costa Rica, but after our stay, we fell in love with the area and people, and can't wait to return. Floribeth gave us precise directions, found it right away. You will not want to leave here. Thank you Floribeth!!

The condo is exactly as advertised in the pictures and description! You are literally minutes from dozens of restaurants, shopping, and of course the beach/ocean! The owner and local host (Christina) were both extremely responsive and gave great recommendations for everything Tamarindo and other local areas. It was also very nice having a place that was somehow quiet/peaceful at night, yet so close to everything!

i just loved the accommodation is as the description the beds are great allowing a good rest, the pool and barbecue area great and Cartagena is a beautiful village to enjoy , you have access to many beaches , Hersol always pending and with a lovely kindness, I loved it, I recommend it 100% , I hope to return soon.

We loved this place! The views are stunning! I could sit on the decks for hours just staring at the view and listening to the waves. We made a big breakfast and ate it on the deck one morning…breath taking.. You even have a view while showering in the master bath! The best beaches are within minutes- Playa Flamingo & Playa Conchal. I ran to Playa Flamingo beach in 10 minutes. The sunsets from Playa Flamingo beach were amazing! The infinity pool was fantastic to come home to at the end of a long day out. I wouldn’t hesitate booking this place again.

Lovely home near one of the best beaches in the country! We were very comfortable during our 6 day stay, with 5 adults moving around, and felt very safe. Hosts were extremely kind and communicative, answering any questions we had about activities or eating recommendations. We loved sitting outside by the pool every morning and listening to the howler monkeys and watching the iguanas. Best trip we've taken and the memories we made we will cherish forever!

This was a fantastic spot! Very spacious, clean and had a lovely pool. A short walk to the beach and a quick walk or drive to excellent restaurants. It was so nice to wake up and listen to the beautiful birds singing. Joshua was an excellent host, very helpful and responsive! Thanks again for a beautiful stay!

Brandon’s place was exceptionally beautiful. Our family really enjoyed our stay. The pool table got a lot of use! The views from the balcony were stunning. I would argue that these were the best sunset views in the entire town! The front balcony offered sunrise views as well! We spent most of our time on the rear balcony, enjoying those views. It was clean, easy self check in and the property manager Allen was very responsive and helpful in setting up excursions! We wished we could have stayed another week! Thank you, Brandon, for sharing your home with us!

Everything at Jeff's was more than I expected. I am so grateful and thankful to him for sharing his Oasis with us, everything was out of this world. We spent our mornings at the beach enjoying the sunrise, followed by playing with Carver, and our afternoons in the beautiful pool. Our space was completely separate from Jeff's house, had a full kitchen, bathroom, AC and was clean. The location is walkable to the beach and restaurants, everything you need is close by. Jeff, and Carver, are so friendly and personable, his local knowledge was invaluable. He gave us tips on private beaches, delicious restaurants and different ways for us to enjoy everything Los Pargos has to offer. He really made our stay there so special and we will be visiting him again the next time we're in Costa Rica. Jeff truly cares about the space and wants his guests to experience Pura Vida, and it shows. Thank you, thank you, thank you Jeff, and Carver, for everything!!

The house was absolutely amazing! My two boys are 10 and 7 and they lived in that pool. The view was breathtaking! It was incredible to wake up to every morning. The grocery store is a 2 minute drive so getting supplies is super easy. My kids took surfing lessons at the beach 5 minutes away and the restaurants on the beach were awesome. The housekeeper, Cindy, kept the place spotless. This house was the highlight of our trip!!

Our stay at Alejandro’s was amazing! The house is exactly as pictured and even a 5 minute drive to a beautiful beach. The house had everything we could need. We had a large group and everyone was able to have space and we cooked many shared meals in the spacious kitchen. The pool had stunning views and it was incredibly waking up to the nature sounds every morning. We had a bit of a rough time getting to the place as our GPS routed us up the back dirt road and there were many pot holes and ditches. I would advise in wet season to only stay on main roads. Once we were able to navigate to the house everything was great for our stay. Beware of giant grasshoppers (and other creatures of nature around you in this property!) but that’s all part of the experience.

100% recommended to visit this place, the pool is very nice. only as the only critic in the living room and kitchen it would be good to place an air conditioning. But excellent location, everything is very clean and nice. Julie is an excellent host, very attentive.
