Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Houserville

My family and I wanted to kick off the summer properly. This home was more then we expected - between the space, the land as a whole we felt right at home. Walmart was 7mins away driving. Vonte was very communicative, nice, respectful, and proactive with us! Thank you!

Katie and Liam were communicative from the moment we booked the space. They sent timely instructions for accessing and caring for the space and took the time to check in with me to ensure everything went smoothly. Their home was tidy and cozy, and in the exact right spot for access to nearby family as well as State College—the latter was a plus since it was mine and my husband’s first time showing our daughter the PSU campus (where we met). We had a lovely time in Boalsburg, in large part thanks to Katie and Liam!

The place was clean and comfortable. We appreciate finding a spot where we can bring our dogs. Host was super responsive.

This was the perfect size for two adults and two dogs. The shower pressure and temperature was perfect! FYI- There weren’t many Door Dash options but there were a ton of Uber Eats options. We were too exhausted after the nine hour drive to stop at a grocery store to cook at the house but if we did, the house had everything we would have needed. The front door doesn’t have a step or ramp (which is visible in the photos posted) so you will only use the back door. It was funny seeing the Uber Eats driver’s reaction when they came out the car with our food! There were no issues using the back door and there is a ramp going from the grass to the door so it’s wheelchair or stroller accessible. Some reviews mention a noise from the outside that bothered people, but we didn’t notice anything. We fell asleep easily and stayed asleep until our alarm woke us up- well woke my husband up. I slept for another fifteen minutes. The nature views from the bedroom windows was nice to wake up to.

This home is beautiful, clean, and very calming. It felt like I was right at home. Close enough to the happening places without being in the middle of it all. Would and will stay again!

Chris was very responsive! He also made modifications so I could work from the cottage all week! Very nice area. We enjoyed our stay and if we come back to PA we will be staying again.

We stayed at Kara’s place for the night to rest and recharge. It had everything we needed to do so.

We had a great day. The hosts were responsive and accommodating. They were lovely to talk to. I was in town for a conference at the Penn State and the location was great for my family to stay as I attended the conference. It is such a beautiful home.

Booked a three month stay at this property and it was amazing! Very clean. Host was excellent with communication and so helpful when we ran into some personal issues during the stay.

Great place for my husband and I while we visited our son in State College. Despite cooler temps this space was warm and cozy and met our needs for the weekend.

Mike is a very kind and understanding host! I was very tired after traveling from CO with 2 dogs and Mike was very accommodating and helpful! We enjoyed our stay and we slept so much better than we would have at a hotel. My pups are very reactive when it comes to even the slightest noise at night and I was happy to find a box fan and AC unit that provided white noise so that everyone could rest.

Jeannie and Herb’s place was exactly what our family needed on our way to the east coast. It was quiet and peaceful, viewing the cows and chickens was a favorite of our kids. There were plenty of games and puzzles to occupy our kids and everything we needed to make a healthy meal was available in the kitchen.

Very nice space. It was perfect for my wife and I when we needed a quiet place away from all the hustle and bustle for a few days to just unwind. Off the beaten path, but not so far away that you can’t still find activities or food.

This spotless upstairs apartment was perfect for me while visiting friends nearby: a soft bed, nice bathroom with thick towels, and full kitchen made for a great home base. Very easy drive to Huntingdon, as well! I ended up needing to reschedule my stay and was thrilled how quickly Sarah put that into action. It's always cool to see a host has put together everything you might need in a pinch like spare hygeine items, too.

Sherry’s place was exactly what was described in the listing and even better in person. Our family of four enjoyed Memorial Day Weekend here and enjoyed the golf course and Clubhouse Restaurant. We will be returning again soon. Make sure you give this place a try!

I love how it makes me feel like home. Great work area and the kitchen is my favorite place. Also really convenient if you have dogs cause there is some great area to go in a long walk with your pets

Great deal, comfortable beds, had everything I needed had issues with the toilet and got fixed right. Great hosts and will take care of you if something happens with the Airbnb.

As always, another wonderful stay at Roxanne’s and Doug’s. We could smell how fresh the inside was outside the door. Leroy even said commented on how good it was as we were standing on the private deck. The gas grill was so pristine it looked brand new. We couldn’t wait to cook on it. Roxanne recommended things to do on the rainy days. Places we didn’t know existed out there. We stayed two weeks this year and the cost was right in our budget. You really can’t find a nicer place to stay in such proximity to Seven Points. Already counting down the days until next year…364. Thank you once again for everything.

The place was perfect! The creek behind was filled with trout and the location was close to surrounding fishing spots as well. Never needed to go more than 10min away from the condo. Clean and well maintained by Dan.

My friends and I stayed here for a long weekend. We had the best time! The hosts are the nicest people and went out of their way to make sure that we had a great stay! The hosts kept us posted on all of the fun activities on the mountain. We loved the fireplace in the condo. We will definitely be back! Thank you 😊

We LOVED this little condo in the woods! We were surrounded by beautiful forest, enjoyed the daily melody of bird song, & OMG the bed was so comfortable! I looked forward to getting into it every night & never wanted to leave it in the morning. The convenience of having the washer/dryer and full-sized appliances in the kitchen was like having a home away from home. Although we never got to meet Rose in person, she was always available through the app to ask questions. Admittedly, we weren't prepared for the long, winding journey to get to the condo & didn't realize it was so high in the mountains & isolated, but we still enjoyed the experience. The condo is close to a resort where you can ski in the winter & do other activities year-round. Our purpose for renting the condo was to scout out Pennsylvania & decide if this state will be our next home. Verdict? YES! Highly recommend staying here, especially if you want to get away from it all. Still only minutes to amenities, though!
