Welcome to the Serenity Suites at Aves Hotel & Resort Montezuma, opened December 2019. Be among the first travelers to experience the newest Hotel & Resort in the Montezuma, Mal Pais/Santa Teresa area of the Southern Nicoya Peninsula of Costa Rica. You would be staying at one of 4 independent Bungalow/Houses, which we call our Serenity Suites.

The space
This serenity suite is one of the beautiful accommodations at Aves Hotel & Resort. Aves is a modern, boutique hotel nestled on a hilltop above Montezuma. The setting is tropical luxury at it’s finest. The serenity suites are newly constructed houses built to the highest of standards. Some of the unique features of the serenity suites include an outdoor sky shower, green flat roofs, large outdoor deck, kitchenette, king sized bed, queen sized sofa sleeper, air conditioning, ceiling fans, tv & WiFi, room safes and more. Rollaway Single Bed or Pack n Play Crib available for 5th guest. The outdoor deck has a jungle and pool view and is perfect for relaxing, eating a meal, sipping on a glass of wine and enjoying the surroundings. Guests of the serenity suites will be able to enjoy a lap swimming pool, a secondary lounge pool with a cascading waterfall, a large yoga shala with a gorgeous ocean view, gym facility, and massage treatment rooms. The serenity suites at Aves are part of a lush 10 acre property that boasts tranquility and natural beauty. One of the highlights of Aves Hotel and Resort is the amount of flora and fauna found within the Resort. White-faced and howler monkeys, as well as many varieties of birds can be seen throughout the property. Our name, Aves, translates to birds in Spanish and was chosen because bird sightings are one of the many unique features of the property. Also, when you stay with us you will feel safe knowing that we are a gated/secured hotel with cctv monitoring, and staff that live on site 24/7.

The serenity suites at Aves Hotel and Resort are only 5 minutes from downtown Montezuma, 15 minutes from Cobano and 20 minutes from Malpais/Santa Teresa. Many beautiful beaches are just minutes away!

Although it maintains its unique vibe, Montezuma has emerged as a great destination for all manner of travelers looking for a beach retreat surrounded by some stunning scenery. An Italian influence can be felt in the outstanding restaurants in the area. Active pursuits abound, from hiking in the Cabo Blanco Absolute Nature Reserve to horseback riding to a beach-side waterfall. The house itself is also walking distance to a Canopy (zip-line) Tour and a Butterfly Farm Gardens, Butterfly Brewing Co.(micro-brewery) and the delicious Cocina Clandestina restaurant. As ever, it's the natural beauty, miles of almost abandoned beaches, rich wildlife, and jungle waterfalls that first made Montezuma famous, and they continue to make this one of the favorite beach towns in Costa Rica. We highly recommend renting a 4x4 to fully explore the nature parks, beaches and restaurants in the area.
