Cottage holiday rentals in Honduras

Our stay at Casa Caribe was great! The view is absolutely breathtaking. 180°+ view of the ocean. It is truly indescribable. the grounds are beautifully done and well-tended with tons of tropical plants and flowers. It was super easy to kayak out to the mangroves and to the reef for snorkeling which was a wonderful experience! The hospitality is top notch too. Chris was super communicative and gave wonderful suggestions for places to visit. He even made reservations for us to make it easier. Banuel is the caretaker and he is so wonderful. He is there for absolutely anything you need at all and he is truly happy to serve guests. He also has great knowledge of the island and tells great stories! They truly take all the stress out of the vacation by having everything you could want or need. And they are willing to get for you anything they may not have. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. It was beautiful, restful, relaxing, and fun! If you are going to Roatan, this is the place to stay!

The house is what appears in photographs, it is located in a central place, you have everything nearby, restaurants, beaches, attractions. The host is very attentive and very friendly, the treatment was impeccable we will definitely come back!

We felt right at home, really everything was very nice, the house was very tidy, the kitchen had all the utensils required, the large rooms and everything was excellent, we loved that we had places nearby like the supermarket. Recommended 100%

Beautiful place! we loved.

We had a wonderful stay at the Calabash Reef House! You can see the ocean through the swaying palm trees and hear the waves. The reef just off the shared dock is beautiful. The neighbors are super friendly and helpful. A few things to know: You must have a 4x4 or AWD to get to the house (or a motorbike). There are several very steep hills once you leave the main road. If you have a pet hair allergy this is not a good place to stay - there is a lot of cat hair in every nook and cranny. The water can be rather tricky if you are there in the dry season. You will need to be very frugal and keep a close eye on tank levels. In order to fill the tanks you will need to turn the pump on and off twice a week at set times - and they don't always get full. This little neighborhood is very isolated. It is at least a 20-minute drive to a restaurant and there are not many restaurants on the east end. If you want nightlife stay on the west end. Personally, we like the quiet of the east end.

Excellent accommodation, ideal to disconnect from the city, spend quiet and unique moments. Luis is an excellent host; good communication and clear instructions. More than recommended! I would definitely come back.

This is the second time we have stayed at Alejandra's house and it was the same/better than the first time. The house is very well equipped, clean, in a safe area, close to the beach and the social area/pool is our favorite part. There is good and prompt communication with Alejandra and Keyla the house in charge, there was a programmed power outage and within minutes they had already solved us with the electric generator.

What a wonderful experience! Not only is it the most friendly island we’ve been to Jo and Tony were just the best. This house has everything you need, the view is amazing, even the beautiful reef right out back was such a bonus. Thank you so much Jo and Tony, we will return. Next trip I’m getting dive certified

Lara’s Dream is right on the water of course and plenty of snorkeling if you’re up for a bit of walking through some shallows. There are dive boats at the reef a few hundred yards away every day. The house is simple and comfortable with basic kitchen items and appliances. The bedroom has AC which is very nice @ night. We spent most of the daylight hours on the balcony overlooking the sea. Lenora is the house manager, she is a gem! Picked us up at the airport and dropped us off at the airport for a modest fee. Both Lenora and Laraine were super communicative at all times. Laraine provided a lot of really helpful information as well. We did scuba diving roommate, it some really nice restaurants, nearby, and walking distance . I’m also a bird watcher and hired a local bird guide to show me around the island and he showed me some incredible birds that I never would’ve found on my own . We had a really nice time and will likely come back someday I recommend Laura’s dream.

We booked this place because of it's location and the fantastic reviews and it did not disappoint. As many others have said, Zorro is an excellent host. He is very responsive to messages, coordinates pick up to and from the airport, and is always available to make sure you have an amazing stay. He quickly became like family, always greeting us with a smile and offering suggestions for resturants, excursions, and will help hook you up with some of the locals to easily arrange water taxis and tours that will immerse you in the local culture. The house was perfect for our family of 3 and we felt at home during our entire stay. Well stocked with anything you could need including drinking water. The location is the real highlight. It is perfectly situated between West Bay and West End and private and secluded. The beach is just steps from the back porch with lounge chairs, a covered bar area, and a dock for water taxi access. The property is just so beautiful and relaxing. We will be back.

I had such a great stay! My host was incredibly friendly and welcoming—she was waiting for me when I arrived, helped me find a local restaurant, and even walked me there and kept me company. She also gave me a tour of the market and made the most delicious spearmint lemonade. A truly thoughtful and generous host—I felt right at home!
