Light and Airy Luxury Condo On the Beach

Sip a glass of rum punch on a terrace overlooking the beach and the Caribbean Sea. Pop downstairs for a swim and to check out sea turtles. Apartment has a lovely interior with colorful paintings by local artists, along with vibrant accent pieces, lending this elegant apartment a fun and festive feel. Three large bedrooms and three marble bathrooms all with walk-in showers. Modern kitchen includes wine cooler, cappuccino maker and fresh orange juice maker. Light living area with low-slung sofas, cableTV Nflx/appl/amaz and slide back doors onto the terrace to a lounging area overlooking the sea. Life's a Beach is located in the beautiful Coral Cove condo directly on the beach with great views of the sea and beach-life. There are three large well-appointed luxury bedrooms, three high quality bathrooms, an open-plan kitchen/lounge area which has slide away doors onto a balcony which stretches the whole property. The property has been interior designed to a high standard - we endeavour to keep adding new items - new Lloyd Flanders balcony dining table and six chairs, new Sumsung fridge with ice dispenser, two low slung lounging sofas; new lamp fittings, bedside tables, new original additions to our Barbadian artwork throughout, a De Longhi Espresso/Cappucino maker and a newTV/Wifi set up which includes ESPN with live English premier league. Built-in air conditioning is in all rooms. The staff at Coral Cove maintain the beach area in front of the building - there are ample sunbeds and umbrellas which always seem to be the first out there on a raked beach even when we get up early. There is a cordoned off safe swimming area which is sandy throughout. Slightly further out is an area to swim with turtles and there are often two or three boats anchored there (see photo) with people snorkelling. The turtles nest on the beach. We recently saw loads of tiny turtles scampering down to the sea. They had to be caught by the turtle people for safer letting out at night. We have snorkel sets (facemask, snorkels, fins) available for use in the apartment. If you don't want to swim out as far as the turtles then there are reefs either side. There are cool boxes for taking out onto the beach or alternatively, there are beach bars which do wicked rum punches and surprisingly good fried fish, spring rolls, wedges etc. Coral Cove itself was completed in 2007. It has 14 apartments. Life's a Beach has one parking space which is easily accessed via drive thru electronic gates. It has permanently manned security who cover both the condo and beach chairs. Access to the condo areas is by security code. The balcony consists of a lovely lounging sofa area, a dining table with chairs and a 7 person hot-tub (maintained each week). Typically, you won't want it to be too hot in this climate unless you are a very strange person. Good to keep it about the same temperature as the sea and good for sitting in and sipping champagne. The balcony is a perfect height - high enough for a great view and just below the leaves of the palms. Life's a Beach has three good sized bedrooms all designed to high spec. The master bedroom opens with sliding doors direct onto the balcony. It has ensuite granite bathroom with two basins, large bath and walk-in shower. It has a walk-in dressing/wardrobe area. There is a flat-screen cable TV. The second and third bedrooms are at the rear of the condo with shutters out onto the landing area. The second bedroom has a queen bed and en-suite granite bathroom with two basins and walk-in shower. The third bedroom has twin beds which can be converted into a king and has the bathroom with walk-in shower adjacent. New fluffy pillows and bed coverings and new towels have just been delivered. The kitchen area has high specification fittings - I have to say, my favourite in the wine chiller. There is a separate room for the washer/dryer. It's great to be able to cook up a meal while chatting to people in the lounge area and the balcony. You don't really need a barbeque here - the kitchen feels as though it is part of an outside area. The lounge area has two new good sized sofas and armchair, flat screen cable tv, Apple TV (for use with your own iTunes account) with Bose sound-bar (which can be used for iPods/iphones etc) and a DVD player. It has wifi which works really well - much better than a shared hotel connection - for facetiming/skyping family back home. Life's A Beach is on the northern end of Paynes Bay on a beautiful talcum powder beach near to other small luxury condos. The apartment is in the centre of the building making it quieter and being on the third tier of the building it has fantastic views over the bay. Access to the beach is approx 30 second walk down the stairs and through the manicured garden. The sun loungers are set out each morning. The property is fully managed by Young Estates (Deborah) and they will meet and greet and fix any problems during your stay. They provide a full concierge service that can be used to book tickets, restaurants etc and give helpful suggestions. A housekeeper (Cinterina) is provided 3 days per week. Coral Cove is manned by security staff 24x7 managed by Romeo. You will find that they are very friendly. They look after the whole area and make sure that no-one other than guests sits on Coral Cove beach chairs. A chef can be provided on request. Just relax and have fun. The condo is in the Coral Cove development (14 apartments total) on Payne's Bay Beach on the West Coast of Barbados. Payne's Bay is one of the best beaches in Barbados, water sports such as paddle boarding, snorkeling and jet ski are readily available; beach watch from our hot tub. Coral Cove's own sunbeds and umbrellas are carefully laid out each morning. The friendly staff are available to care and help you 24x7. There are fantastic walks up and down the beach, and superb restaurants nearby. It is best to have a car to see the island. There is a dedicated parking space accessed via a permanently manned gate. However, buses pass directly by the apartment every 5 mins or so in both directions. These are a great experience - the yellow ones play Reggae music quite loud. $1US will take you anywhere in the island. The security guard can order taxis for you. Lots to do in Barbados - Paddle Boarding, Jetski, Sailing, boat trips can be hired on the beach or can be booked by the concierge service from Young Estates. Local gym is J&S on Holders Hill - this is real local stuff and great fun - costs $40US per week. Attractions in Barbados include the Concorde Experience, Welchman's Gulley, Garrison Savannah horse racing, polo at Apes Hill and Holders Hill, Holders Hill Sunday farmers market, Harrison's Cave, Hunte's Gardens, St Nicholas Abbey, Mount Gay rum experience etc. Suggest you search the internet. World class golf at Apes Hill and Sandy Lane. We love playing at Apes Hill and last time we purchased a 7 day pass. The Sandy Lane 9 hole course is approximately half a mile up the road.
