Plenty of space to get away from everyday life. The cottage is located undisturbed in a small forest, but only 5 minutes to walk to the nearest store. Private parking, slightly steep path (about 50 m) from parking and up to cabin. 5 minutes to the nearest bus stop and 10 minutes to the dock where the fast boat adds. Water with canoe rental 150 meters from the cabin, 200 meters the other way to the sea, access to free warehouse equipment there as well. If there is interest in alpine skiing, it's about a hour to sauda and 2.5 hours to Røldal.

At Fossane gard we have sheep, hens, dog and cat. Janneke and Martijn welcome you. In a few minutes walk you will find Giskelivatnet where you can swim or take a canoe trip. Discover the trail along the waterfall, experience the waterfall up close, pet the sheep, or take a walk to our stable Subbeli. There is a little grip on everything you can find here.

Mountain cabin in Trodla-Tysdal after 3 hours hike

Trodla-Tysdal has been a tourist destination for hikers since 1892. Tourists have to walk for appox. 3 hours (7 km) from Kleivaland parking place. There is no driving road to Trodla-Tysdal. Trodla-Tysdal means the valley of the Norwegian Trolls due the wilderness and dramatic nature. In 1996 Reidunn and Kjell built a tourist cabin for hikers. In 1998 in addition a small private cabin. In 2017 this small cabin was renewed and now it is possible to book this small cabin for you.

Off grid cabin in Ryfylke with beautiful panoramic view

We have the perfect place for you who will enjoy a few days of nature, silence and fresh air. The cabin is built in 2010 and one wall is full of windows, so nature and sunset can be enjoyed from the sofa. We are fully self contained with solar cells, batteries and water. We also don't have internet, so here you are completely off-grid. A starry sky without light pollution is not so common anymore, but with us you can enjoy the stars around a fire in the evening.

Shortcut to amazing hiking destinations such as Skomakernibbå, Melands Grøna hello, Trodla Tysdal and Ritland crater. The cabin is in pine style and has a cozy interior. There is a central vacuum cleaner, washing machine and heating cables. TV with canal digital, and WiFi. Parking for 3 cars on own plot. Fire pit, ball grill and cube.

Penthouse/Boathouse

Unique location right on the water. Large outside areas. Dock, private (rock) beach. Fully equiped kitchen for inside and outside cooking and dining. Fireplace inside and outside. 45 minute drive to preikestolen, kjerag and 25 minutes drive to skomakarnibba. Note, the boathouse is 30 years old and is fully equiped but is of older standard and shows wear and tear of 30 years. Location is spectacular, but the place is not new.

The cabin has solar cells and water from water tank. Just outside the door, you can take advantage of several nice hiking opportunities that are in a row. From the cabin it is about 15 minutes by car into the center of Tau.
