KAIWA NO SATO This old house is an indigo mansion built in the first year of the Bunsei era (1804) during the heyday of indigo. The main house and the sleeping area (a barn where indigo was stored) have been demolished due to aging, but the historic living room and garden have been preserved to allow guests to experience a little bit of that time, and it is used as a farmhouse inn. In the old days, "Indigofera" grew on the fertile land of the Yoshino River basin in Tokushima Prefecture, bringing great wealth to Tokushima Prefecture (Awa Province). Ancient documents on indigo, including cultural properties, are also available for viewing. The first floor is the living room and the second floor is the bedroom.Size: 108.5 ㎡ (85 ㎡ on the 1st floor, 23.5 ㎡ on the 2nd floor) If you need more than one bedroom, there are two 10 tatami mat Japanese-style rooms in the back annex (with separate entrance, toilet, and veranda), so you can use a total of 3 bedrooms.Please let us know at the time of booking.You can use an additional 51.5 ㎡, for a total of 160 ㎡. For breakfast, we have coffee, bread, butter, and eggs from Oniwa Farm, although it is simple.
