Although the current owner updated the home with practical renovations, the peculiar house still has the character and features from the time it was built, features that once granted it a place among the pages of Ripley’s Believe it or Not.

This peaceful master suite with deck overlooks Little Blue Lake and has relaxing outdoor spaces. The master bedroom has king-sized bed. The attached bathroom has a roomy shower with two shower heads and a soaking tub. The kitchenette area has a Keurig with coffee and tea. Also, a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, toaster oven, air-fryer, cups, dishes and utensils. 7 miles to Bok Tower Gardens. 5 miles to Webber and 3 miles to Warner. 6 miles to Lake Wales Skydiving and Paramotor training.

I attended a 14-day training program nearby and stayed at The Hide-A-Way on the Lake. The accommodations were perfect for what I was looking for. It was quiet and peaceful, with star-studied early morning walks and watching beautiful sunrises over the lake from my bedroom window! Marian, the host, was wonderful - always responsive and helpful whenever I needed anything. I can enthusiastically recommend her and her Hide-A-Way on the Lake.
