Waterfront holiday rentals in Highland Council

We spent three days at Daniel's place and it was perfect for staying in Fort William and accessing nearby areas such as Glencoe. The apartment was very clean, beds were comfortable and the kitchen and parking were great to have. Best was that we were a family of 4 with two teenaged children and everyone liked being independent. The location couldn't have been more walkable. Even though right in town, it was also quiet. The entry hallway could be spruced up a bit and better smelling but that's it! We had one issue when my daughter tripped a breaker with her hair dryer. A reminder to get a converter as well as an adapter if coming from the US. Daniel responded immediately with where the breaker panel was located.

Lovely little apartment located in a great spot on the river. We stopped in one night and ended up getting a pint and dinner at the waterfront which was a minute down the road - highly recommend. For the apartment, it was very cozy and served us well. Our experience was enhanced by Rebecca who went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Overall great stay and recommend to all.

Nous avons passé trois nuits fabuleuses dans l'appartement de Sarah. Outre la vue (aussi magnifique que sur les photos), il est grand, confortable et particulièrement bien équipé. Parfaitement situé pour rayonner dans les Highlands, bref à recommander sans hésiter !

Perfect location with a view of the river Ness! The apartment is stocked with everything one may need, and even includes breakfast items such as milk and cereal! Amanda is a wonderful host and provided detailed instructions and directions well ahead of time. Excellent experience!

Vue exceptionnelle et accès à la mer imbattable. Carol et Martin nous ont réservé un accueil sympathique et chaleureux et ils nous ont fait des recommendations sur les environs. L emplacement est très bon pour découvrir Skye et la côte de Highlands.

Fantastische Lage für den Aufenthalt. Viele Restaurants und auch Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der direkten Umgebung. Die Räumlichkeiten waren super ausgestattet, es war alles da was benötigt wird.

We had the best stay!! The beds and couch were so comfortable. Everything was extremely clean. We loved having the Nescafe machine and Hayley was kind enough to provide some breakfast foods. The location of the apartment was perfect - quiet, picturesque, and a walkable distance from everything we wanted to see in the city. Highly recommend!

Absolutely magical stay at the Njord House. Adelaide was so helpful and kind and responsive. It was peaceful and close to lots of fantastic sites. Stunning location, quiet, comfy bed, cozy fireplace, an absolute dream stay. I will definitely be back and highly recommend to anyone (even solo female travelers, which I am)!

Para quem procura sossego a vista desra casa é maravilhosa .. Fica numa vila tranquila, com supermercado perto e poucos restaurantes. Casa espaçosa, bem decorada, devidamente aquecida e com lareira. Cozinha totalmente equipada. Nos preferimos cozinhar para ter a sensação de sermos moradores. Quartos tamanho adequado. Tudo limpo. Vista para o mar. Sauna e jacuzzi a disposição. Pena ficarmos apenas 2 dias. Recomendo.

We loved our few days at Arras Beag. The location is peaceful, the views are stunning and it is very convenient for lots of mountain walks. We saw otters several times just outside, which was lovely. You can walk direct from the house, but are asked to keep dogs on leads. The house is warm, the log burner is easy to light and very effective and there's plenty of hot water. The kitchen has the basics but not much in the way of equipment - fine for a few days if you're not doing much cooking from scratch. The bedrooms are probably best suited to a couple and 2 children - the 2nd room is significantly smaller than the master suite, with twin beds and no en suite. We were 2 couples and it was very comfortable nonetheless. Overall, we had a great stay and would very happily return. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at Kim’s home in Fearnan. The house was exceptionally clean, peaceful, and perfectly located just across from the beautiful Loch Tay. We were lucky to enjoy great weather, which made the views even more special. The kitchen was well-equipped, which made it easy to prepare meals, and we appreciated how close everything was — including a great local shop, The Courtyard Shop & Delicatessen in nearby Kenmore. Communication with Kim was fast and helpful, check-in was smooth, and the neighbors we met were kind and welcoming. One small note: the beds might feel a bit tight for two people, but the spacious upstairs living area helped balance that out. We’d definitely love to come back — it’s a quiet, charming place that’s easy to feel at home in.

This is not a house, it’s a home. It has everything you need for the family to be comfortable right from the moment you arrive with something for everyone. Standout for the young children a fab garden with an awesome trampoline. Standout for the adults space and comfort to totally relax. What takes it from great to exceptional are the thoughtful touches …… and there are a lot but it’s most of all the welcome and hospitality of Kay our host who kept in touch to make sure all was well and gave us brilliant tips on where to go suitable for each of our parties needs. Now stop browsing, book!

We had a great time. It was within walking distance of many things. It was super clean and well maintained. Our family really enjoyed our stay. 💕

It was a spacious apartment , aesthetically pleasing and lovely greens all around. Sandra was always responsive and friendly. Overall a fab stay when travelling with parents and kid.

Loved this apartment and was definitely value for money. Central location with private parking and lovely outlook over the harbour and Lews Castle. The apartment was spotless, lovely smell, in a quiet block with friendly neighbours. Host Mark was very helpful and extremely patient and always contactable. He even went out of his way to accommodate a different check in time when requested On arrival, there were even lots of thoughtful little extras which were very much appreciated. A Quick Look at the comments book shows others felt the same and also encourages you to add your own suggestions of places to visit for other travellers. Overall a great experience on a lovely island, hosted by a great host who is also a local. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic stay! Idyllic views of the ocean, very quiet and peaceful. I think this is the most beautiful AirBnb I have ever stayed in. Aside from the amazing setting, the house itself is very spacious and comfortable.

We had a wonderful week. The apartment was an ideal base for walking in Lochaber and Glencoe.

It was centrally located, super easy to get to, cozy on a chilly wet day, great location for walking to and from. It was squeaky clean and had absolutely everything we could possibly need packed into a sweet little compact space. Joanna was very responsive and always ready to answer any questions we had. When we return to Tobermory, this is where we will stay again.

혼자 지내기에는 조금 컸지만 맘에 들어 예약했고 사진과 거의 모든 것이 일치했습니다 위치가 역과 거리는 있으나 걸어다닐만 했고 주변이 시끄럽지 않고 조용한 환경입니다 좋은 기억을 가지고 만족하며 숙박 마치고 런던으로 돌아갑니다

We loved our stay at Angela and Hector’s place. They did everything they could to make us feel welcome and offer guidance and assistance. They were by far the best hosts we’ve ever had and I would recommend anyone to stay with them. They really have gone out of their way to try and anticipate things we may need before we even knew we needed them. The River Retreat is centrally located and close to lots of great restaurants and shopping. We barely used our car the whole time we were there because Inverness was so walkable from their place. All appliances and amenities worked well and the River Retreat really facilitated our stay perfectly. Next time we’re back in Inverness we will definitely be return!
