Monthly Rentals in Herbster

Our stay at Timber & Tide was wonderful! The view of Lake Superior was spectacular! The outdoor space was perfect with a firepit, wood, chairs, hammocks and grill. The inside had a stocked kitchen and very nice decor. It was a very peaceful stay and we were appreciative that we could bring our dog.

The Stargazer was a private cozy cabin on private land with all the comforts needed and outdoor space to feel the woods. The cabins decor and thoughtful loft are artistic and inviting with a little bit of something to interest all. We enjoyed the variety of warblers, and birds enjoying the trees newrby and the hummingbirds buzzing by the front porch. We didn't see the bear on property but it left evidence of it's visit with paw prints on the front porch. There are some short trails on the property that we enjoyed after exploring nearby areas. The cabin is perfectly located with short drive to visit Bayfield and the apostle islands, Copper Falls state park and the opposite direction up coastal 13 towards Deluth/Superior to see waterfalls at Patterson and Amnicon state parks. When the fire hazard was low we enjoyed little fire in fire pit for smores, and when it was high an artificial log inside on old wood stove. The soaking tub was amazing after hiking all day.

We arrived at the house in sub zero temperatures and were very happy to be inside the house with the wonderful radiant heated floors. Warm and cozy! Comfortable beds and warm blankets made for restful nights. The view of the bay is beautiful. Moon rising over the horizon reflected on the ice . We heard Great Horned Owls hooting in the distance. Next visit we hope to come in the summer or fall to walk around more and see the lake. Thanks again!

Scott was an amazing host. His house is so unique and he literally has everything you'd need in it for cooking, entertainment, and relaxation. The view of the lake from the house is beautiful and located within minutes of some of the best fish fry and smoked fish I've ever had. Would definitely come back again!
