Family-friendly holiday rentals in Hatton

It's a top-notch luxury stay with all amenities from a de-humidifier to coffee machine to pre-loaded movies and a music system. The staff took excellent care and both their local and continental breakfasts were sumptuous and delicious! The stay was perfect for enjoying the rainy weather of Nuara Eliya. You can see all of the city from here. While it is in the outskirts, the stay felt totally safe. We had no difficulty in finding rides to the city or ordering in dinner with the help of their staff. The hosts have kept different booklets across the villa with recommendations and tips for guests. Would love to come back again :)

One of the best stays I’hv had in a while! Mr. Silva and his team are the sweetest. Never ever did I hear the word NO from them in the 2 days we stayed at the Brockenhurst Bungalow! The food they prepared was made with so much of effort and love. The heritage vibe of this bungalow is unmatched! We had an early departure at 6am. The chef made sure we had our breakfast handy with a smile!😀 The views are amazing, the fireplace is soothing. If you want to learn hospitality then staying here is a must! :) 10/10 recommendation if you’re visiting Nuwara Eliya

Just amazing. It feels like living in England. Entire surroundings have english villas only. Very peaceful, very pretty and memorable

I loved everything about this place - the location, the caretaker (Sanjaya), the chef (Vinod) and our furry companions - Whitey, Browny, and Bamboo (the puppy). Had some occasional visitors too - horses! Would rate this place as 9/10 - especially for families.

Such a special and memorable place. I will remember the sounds of the jungle at night most of all! We did the river excursions, floating breakfast and elephant safari all of which were amazing. Delicious food too!

Great peaceful place very helpful caretaker and an impressive view

Big and delicious breakfast! The room was clean and with a beautiful view of the mountains. The owner suggested us places to visit and organized a tuk tuk to the tea factory, little Adams Peak and to the waterfall. The only thing that could be improved is the Wi-Fi connection inside the rooms.

This is a beautiful Villa that can accomodate around 6-7 people. I would say I had the most amazing stay there. The place is clean and tidy. It had all the amenities required. The care-taker Dias did a wonderful job in cooking and catering to our needs from time to time. Jayantha, the owner of the property was beyond helpful to make our whole trip a beautiful one.

This beautiful cottage is small, and perfect for a small family. Since Nuwera Eliya gets a bit cold at night, the cozy bed rooms and the blankets provided by Thidasala came to our rescue. His father took care of us so well, since Thidasala was not in town when we visited. We appreciate that. The view from the room of the Gregory Lake is brilliant. The wifi is good. We had a small kitchen as well. The bathroom was clean and we had hot water. This place is perfect for a small family who wants to enjoy the city, and not be in the rush. Their hospitality was amazing. 5 star from me.

We had a great time at the Sitara bungalow. Beautiful place up in the hills in a tea estate, bit away from the busy Ella. Place is very spacious and nicely decorated. This is a better alternative to staying in Ella. The staff Ghandi and Nalini took good care of us. Gandhi's polsombola was amazing. We really enjoyed the meals they prepared for us. Leon the German Shepherd was a pleasure to have arround. We highly recommend this place.

I had a great stay at Serendib. The host was super responsive and accommodating. Tea service was amazing. The room was simple but clean. This place is a little outside Ella but easily reachable by tuktuk or car. It is also close to Haputale. The host was able to help me get to the hotel and around the area. Overall a good experience.

Staying at Mashita's place was a serene escape from the hustle and bustle. Surrounded by stunning scenery, it's the perfect spot to unwind and reconnect with nature. The tranquil ambiance truly allows you to unplug and rejuvenate your senses. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway! Hosts truly elevated our experience. They were incredibly friendly, responsive, and always went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Their impeccable manners and genuine care for their guests made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. It's rare to find such a gracious host, and we're grateful for their warmth and attentiveness throughout our stay.

Die Unterkunft liegt mitten in der Natur, ca 25 Minuten Fußweg von Ellas Hauptstraße entfernt, mit dem Tuktuk ist man aber in 5 Minuten Mitten im Geschehen (500 LKR). Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und haben auch die Cooking Class in der Unterkunft gemacht, als auch eine Tour zu Ellas Hauptsehenswürdigkeiten - kann ich beides empfehlen und vor Ort kriegt man auch Empfehlungen und Tipps. Man ist in den Chalets sehr privat und hat eine wunderschöne Aussicht, sodass man dem Trubel der Stadt entkommen kann. An die Geräusche der Natur muss man sich erstmal kurz gewöhnen - aber das ist nun wirklich ein Luxusproblem :-) Das Frühstück war ausreichend und ist mit viel Liebe gemacht. Man kann im Supermarkt auch noch Sachen dazu kaufen, wenn einem etwas fehlt :-) Können wir empfehlen!

A true retreat, nestled in the mountains. think stunning views, tranquility, wild peacocks and monkeys,but not a handy location to sight see from. Map was misleading and Haputhale is an hour away. Rooms are simple with delightful antiques. Staff are very courteous but have very limited English. Food was simple and delicious Sri Lankan cuisine. Make sure you book meals in advance. They kindly arranged a delicious birthday cake for us. Beautiful gardens with architectural features everywhere, lovely views, good swimming pool but lacking any comfortable seating. A truly unique place to get away from modern life.

Located about 20 minute drive from Ella, The Hideaway is a beautiful and remote spot, and was in fact better than I had expected from the AirBnB profile and pictures. The views are the major selling point, with fantastic views throughout the location. Staff very helpful in organising trips into Ella and able to offer on site spa treatment which was excellent. Bedrooms were more comfortable than I had expected, bathrooms were quite basic but not enough to trouble me. Onsite food was very good, but we preferred to travel into Ella for evening meals. Whether you want to just hideaway for a few days, or use this as a more remote spot to access Ella - it is great.

Wow. We absolutely adored the trip. The accommodation is simply stunning, every bedroom was spacious and the communal areas so well maintained. The staff were all attentive, helpful and polite. Mr Maha was always on hand to make sure we had everything we needed. He arranged a tour of a local tea factory and always had a lovely smile on his face. The location is very remote. There are bugs and insects. So take a driver (accommodation available) and bug spray. Food was lovely and a great choice. We had massages, which were arranged by Mr Maha and were absolutely fantastic. Some of our group did a cooking class which they loved. We all were able to taste their food. Genuinely such a beautiful place to stay surrounded by nature and peace. Five stars! Highly recommended

This was by far one of the most beautiful airbnbs I have been to! The staff were incredibly helpful and the house itself was gorgeous. Thank you and I hope to be back again!

Vi hade några underbara dagar på soma land. Mr Gamage och hans fru hade inte kunnat vara mer omtänksamma och hjälpsamma. Vi tog en dagstur upp på teplantagen som hör till huset och fick uppleva fantastisk natur och fina vyer. Mr Gamage månade verkligen om att vi skulle ha en så bra resa som möjligt och att vi skulle få uppleva riktig Sri lankesisk kultur. Värdparet skjutsades oss en hel dag till Lions rock, lagade väldigt god mat, tog med oss till en tefabrik och såg personligen till att vi kom fram till vårt nästa boende som låg 7 timmar bort. Vi hade inte kunnat blivit mer omhändertagna. Utöver det kommer ni i detta boende få uppleva ett fantastiskt hus med mycket historia, en fin pool och djungeln runt hörnet. Vi ger våra varmaste rekommendationer.

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Besonders toll fanden wir die netten Mitarbeiter, die uns herzlich empfangen und tolle Unternehmungen empfohlen haben. Ich konnten wir tolle Gespräch führen. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und der Pool lud nach Unternehmungen zu einer angenehmen Abkühlung mit toller Aussicht ein. Das Frühstück war klassisch und es wurde proaktiv Nachschlag angeboten. Das Team war sehr flexibel was Änderungen anging und richtete das Frühstück auch zu einer früheren Zeit als eigentlich geplant aus, da wir uns früh zu einem Ausflug aufmachen wollten. Wir waren wirklich mehr als zufrieden und würden definitiv wiederkommen.

I can’t describe how amazing this villa was, beautiful location, natural tub, very welcoming..we were traveling across the country and stayed at 4 different places, and this was the best.Kalairaj was so kind, helpful and he made us a delicious Chicken Curry and he made a fire for us to enjoy. Also there are so many monkeys around that was beautiful to watch their wild life. Highly recommend!
