Holiday rentals with breakfast in Hatton

Prasanna and Kaushalya make brilliant Airbnb hosts and spending a night in their home was a highlight. Their welcoming and warm dispositions encourage comfortable and relaxation. We enjoyed lively conversation over shared dinner in their large, well-located house near town center. Breakfast the following morning was deliciously authentic. The bedroom and bath had everything we needed. We look forward to returning one day and sharing more time our new friends.

When you arrive there you feel top of the world. Literally the clouds coming in now and then gives you a heavenly feeling. Very beautiful location and surroundings. The privacy it gives you just feel at home. This is an old building set in a quiet village in the hills of Nuwara Eliya. One might feel somewhat remote, but this is the actual holiday home one desires to spend some own peaceful moment at. But some refurbishment in the kitchen would make it just perfect destination itself. The owner and caretaker/ manager were very responsive. Thanks to all. Would definitely recommend this property when you are a big group.

Stunning house in a stunning location 'up country'. The photos do not do it justice. There is not loads 'to do' around the local area, but fear not, enjoying the setting and the house itself is more than sufficient. An utterly beautiful place with superb hosts! Top tip - make sure if you are driving to the villa (or you have a driver) you/they do not mind steep inclines and navigating narrow roads, due to its amazing location (on the top of a mountain!!).

This stay was so incredibly peaceful and serene. I wish we had more time, I could spend a week just basking in the calm vibe with the chilly night weather. Arafath was an incredible host and deepayan also helped with a big smile :). We arrived around 5 pm and hadn't ordered food, arafath was kind enough to get some food prepared for us as well as getting the fireplace going and we played some music in the main room to contribute to a wonderful night. Would love to come back.

The stay in the Gamini’s home was the silver lining of my trip. The house was very beautifully decorated with a good sense of taste (I took some pictures of their home and glad they like them as well). Our room is very clean and has the local flavor of display. The location is a bit hard to find, but Gamini was so kind that he drove himself to show directions for our driver. The Gamini family was so warm to introduce their pretty little garden (we had a chance to taste their fresh vege salad, amazing!) and it turned out to be an awesome mini garden tour. We also had a very good evening sitting at the garden and chatting about family and their experiences. In the next morning, I was lucky to join their activities in the temple where I sent the prepared food to monks. It was so authentic experience that cannot be found in tourists places. Just as Gamini described, it is a lovely and peaceful place to get away from the noise. A strong recommendation for those who love nature and nice ppl

Wonderful villa. Lovely views and very good amenities. The hosts were very gracious and took care of all our requirements. The food was very well prepared. Great stay overall.

The property was absolutely worth the price—clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all amenities. Amal (if I’ve spelled it right) assisted us really well throughout our stay. Just two small suggestions: the door in the bedroom behind the TV needs a bit of repair, and it would be great to add a sunlight-blocking curtain for that room’s balcony, as the morning sun was quite strong. Other than that, everything was excellent. Thanks for a great stay!

Поездка была семейная. Посмотрели фото, очень красивые пейзажи. Ожидания оправдались. Дом находится на высоте, очень красивый обзор, утром туман окутывает горы, просто супер! Хозяин всегда на связи и может решит все вопросы. В доме нас встретил управляющий, расположил, вызвал транспорт для поездки в город. В доме есть камин, вечером посидеть у камина приятное времяпровождение. Комнаты чистые, есть все необходимое, горячая вода. Утром нас накормили завтраком. В доме прекрасная оранжерея. Обеденный стол находится с прекрасным видом! Нам все понравилось. Мы рекомендуем, если будете в Нувара-Элии сделать остановку в этом доме.

Not as close to Adams Peak as it sounds, still 1.5hrs in a tuk tuk. However the caretaker there was amazing, he packed us breakfast for our 3:30am leave time to hike Adams Peak, and made delicious meals for dinner and lunch and booked us tuk tuks.

We had a super nice stay here. Really generous and super friendly hosts. I would definitely book it again. Thank you so much for everything !

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt im The Weir House und können ein paar Tage in der tollen Unterkunft nur wärmstens empfehlen. The Weir House ist sehr schön und ruhig im Grünen gelegen - perfekt zum Entspannen, kleine Wanderungen in die umliegenden Teeplantagen oder Tagesausflüge nach Kandy oder in eine Teafactory. Mr. Maha und sein Team haben durch ihre freundliche und zuvorkommende Art sehr zu einem unvergesslichen Aufenthalt beigetragen! Vielen Dank an dieser Stelle nochmal. Sehr zu empfehlen ist auch das leckere Essen, das z.T. aus Produkten aus dem eigenen Garten zubereitet ist. Alles in allem ein wirklich schöner Aufenthalt. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Great place for convenient stay if you're climbing Adam's Peak, just a short walk away from the entrance. Place is sufficiently stocked with amenities for your rest before and after the hike. Madu is a warm and friendly host who can help you if you need transport bookings or advice on the hike. The breakfast provided is very abundant and filling. There is also food to order if dinner is needed the night before the hike. PSA: Adam's Peak is quite a drive in, do take into consideration when booking transport to the guest house. Very thankful for a good post-hike meal, warm shower, and decent bed to rest on. Would recommend!

Bei unserer Ankunft in der Appleton Villa waren wir sehr überrascht. Zwar ist sie etwas abgeschieden von Nuwara Eliya, daher empfiehlt sich ein eigenes Fahrzeug, aber die Unterkunft ist die modernste und luxoriöste, die wir bisher auf Sri lanka gefunden haben. Das Zimmer ist super sauber und mit allem ausgestattet was man so benötigt - sogar mit einem großen Smart-Tv. Das Bett ist wahnsinnig Bequem und die dicke Bettdecke perfekt für die kühlere Region. Die Dusche hat heiß Wasser und einen Föhn. Das Frühstück ist auch super Umfangreich und man verlässt morgens gesättigt das Haus. Der Host ist super und sehr bemüht, dass es einem gut geht. Deswegen haben wir gleich noch eine Nacht hier gebucht.

Our best find in Sri Lanka. Hosts, Michael & Ruwanthi are so friendly & helpful, going out of their way to make sure we had a truly wonderful time. Glyn Myu is beautiful, luxurious & very comfortable. The location is quite simply breathtaking. Ruwanthi is an incredibly talented cook serving exquisite meals with most ingredients gathered from her extensive garden. Her knowledge of the dietary & medicinal properties of her homegrown larder is very impressive. She is also delighted to share her passion & knowledge. A Sri Lankan gem where we felt welcome, relaxed & immediately at home. They have a very informative website with contact details!

Sehr gute Lage man schaut bis nach Udawallawe wenn das Wetter klar ist. Prima für Ausflüge zu Wasserfällen, Lipton Teefabrik, Tagesausflug nach Ella mit der Bahn. Selbstgemachtes Kokosnusseis bei Olives Restaurant sehr zu empfehlen!

Unterkunft in sehr stimmungsvollem Gebäude. Besonders zu erwähnen gilt es den hervorragenden und sehr zuvorkommenden Service des Gastgebers. Ich würde sofort wieder hierher kommen.
