Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Harpers Ferry

Our family loved our stay at Ken's place. The house was extremely clean, the listing gave us a great feeling going into the rental, and we were not disappointed upon arrival. The property and scenery were fantastic. Our kids loved going out onto trails, creek, hot tub, local lake, and feeding the animals. We all wish we booked a longer stay and we will be back in the near future.

Such a beautiful retreat - close to downtown Berkeley Springs but just far enough away to feel completely secluded. the view from every room and balcony was gorgeous. The house has nearly everything you need right there - we especially appreciated the kitchen having seasonings & all of the pots/pans/dishes you need to cook. Our goal was having a few days to rest and spend time with each other, and that's exactly what we were able to do. The game room was a real treat, and the bowl of conversation starters in the living room was such a fun way to hang out without just having the TV on.

Very peaceful, a place to get away and relax. Restful. Grounds are well cared for.

This house was adorable and is in a location that couldn't be beat! We enjoyed our stay - coffee and wine on the decks and easy walks around the sites and shops in the lower town. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well-stocked and the views from everywhere were amazing! Easy 20-ish minute drive over to Loudon County wine country, if that's your destination. Check-in and check-out was great. Easy with flexible timing, which we greatly appreciated. Dean was VERY helpful, especially when it came to parking - we brought three cars and he made sure we had ample space, even when some of our drivers were unsure of the narrow roads. (Roads are hilly and corners are sharp in the mountains, if you are not used to that.) The house could use a good dust and sweep, but dishes and linens were clean and plentiful. Not a dealbreaker, unless you have allergies - but it is an old house, after all, so some of it is to be expected. We would gladly stay again!

Tara and Shawn were great hosts! The place was comfy, they were easy to communicate with, and great of all, we got to hang out with their awesome goats and feed them snacks!

The house was beautiful and charming. We came to the area for a wedding and the house is centrally located to most everything in the area. The historical look of the house was beautiful, but had all the modern amenities. The welcome sign that Tracy did for us was very thoughtful and appreciated and she provided local tips of places to eat and get groceries. Highly recommended for a beautiful house in a beautiful area.

I had a fantastic stay at Paul’s place! The space was exactly as described—clean, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was cozy, the Wi-Fi was fast, and all the little touches (like fresh towels, coffee, and local recommendations) made me feel right at home. The location was perfect—close to everything I needed, but still peaceful and quiet at night. Paul was super responsive and friendly, offering helpful tips and making check-in a breeze. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Our stay was great! Beautiful apartment in a great location. More than enough space for myself, my husband and our 8 month old. It was quiet and private even being located in the heart of shepherdstown. Our baby even slept through the train! We’ll definitely be back to Shepherdstown and would love to stay here again!

Loved our stay at Kristy and Byron's home! Very convenient for a wedding weekend in Leesburg, and the barn is located on a beautiful property, complete with friendly, social horses. Completely agree with other reviews that the unit is spacious, updated, and there is no scent from the barn below. Kristy and Byron were available to help with anything we needed, but we had no issues at all while there, and we got in late so we appreciated the snacks and welcome message left for us. Highly recommend, and will definitely book again when we come back to Leesburg!

We love visiting Shepherdstown and especially enjoyed the location of the apartment, which is very central to downtown, the university and the C&O canal. So convenient. The apartment was very clean and quiet. The kitchen is well equipped. We thought the apartment quite comfortable and enjoyed our week long stay. We will certainly try to book the apartment again next time we are in town. Oh - and we highly recommend the little natural/organic grocer/deli virtually next door to the apartment. We were able to find what we needed there and they have wonderful sourdough bread.

We had to travel for a wedding and it was just the perfect place with all the basic amenities covered. The place itself is located in a quaint peaceful little town in MD very close to VA. If you have some extra time, definitely walk around the peaceful town, its lovely!! We loved our space, delicious coffee the comfortable bed. Definitely a spot to checkout if you are in that area. The apartment was great for our stay and in an amazing location! Very easy to get to, and Bryan & Cathy were proactive with instructions and local recommendations to make the trip easy to plan.

I had a pleasant stay. The rental is located on a beautiful farm with plenty of parking. The Airbnb is comfortable and clean. I would definitely stay here again.

Large place, great jumping off point and close to town for my partner, my dog and myself. Very clean, and set up great to watch TV at night or work from home. And a fully operational kitchen so you don't have to eat out every night. Thank you again!

Molly was a great host. The Airbnb looks exactly like the photos. The place was clean and had everything we needed. It was quiet and we couldn’t hear any neighbors. Molly gave very detailed instructions which made checking in super simple. The beds were a little bit hard but other than that, this was a perfect place to stay.

My husband and I were in Leesburg for a wedding and loved the place. It was just as described and close to everything.

It was a delightful and cozy place to stay at especially with lots of things to do all around. We would recommend staying there for the vibes and local stores all around especially if you don’t want to rent a car. There’s lots of food places like heavenly wings is 10/10 recommend if you want wings.

The rental and grounds met our expectations and needs very well. Lots to do in the surrounding area. The pool and hot tub were just right. Comfy beds and cozy common area.

This was a great place to stay while in town! The location is absolutely beautiful, especially at sunset, and the accommodations were perfect. I felt so comfortable and had everything I needed. Definitely will stay again if I have to travel back that way.
