Holiday rentals with beach access in Hancock County

Our stay at Pam’s place was absolutely fantastic! This is our second time staying at The Nest. The apartment was beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, and had everything I needed, especially in the kitchen. We typically cook at least two meals a day and we had everything necessary. Pam was a wonderful host, very responsive and helpful throughout my stay. She stocked the fridge with eggs, butter, milk and half & half in addition to having cookies and muffins waiting for us on arrival. The location was perfect for exploring Bar Harbor and Acadia, but was far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet. We especially appreciated the cozy living space, comfortable bed, and fireplace to toast our toes. We love the mini farm aspect of The Nest. Seeing the chickens, goats, mini horses, ducks, and dogs as we come and go is definitely something we looked forward too. Had a great weekend staying at Naomi’s Airbnb while visiting Acadia! The apartment has a very modern finish to it and has all the amenities you might need while spending a cozy weekend in nature. The drive to Acadia is close to an hour but the location of the property is quite peaceful and right next to a lake.

Emma’s place was a very tranquil stay on the quiet side. Close to Acadia national park but far enough way to feel away from it all. We loved the couch after a long day of hiking. This air bnb had everything we needed! We could have stayed longer. Would recommend to anyone visiting the island.

Wonderful place! So unique and charming, with a beautiful view. The living area is incredible..Plenty of room and tons of fun games (including ping pong and mini basketball!). Big, open kitchen, stocked with everything you need. A very special place, we loved it!

I can’t say enough good things about this place! The location was amazing. Right off Main Street and totally walkable to anything in bar harbor with a parking space! It was on the right side of bar harbor to get to Acadia within 5 minutes. We loved all of the restaurants close by and the access to the park. The place was so comfortable and cozy! Beautifully decorated and warm after cold hikes in the park. We did not hear any noise at all from the hospital which is tiny compared to the hospitals in Virginia. I didn’t even notice it was there. Brianne was so kind and responsive and recommended lots of good hiking and dining options. I can’t wait to come back here again! If I could give this home 6 stars I would and I am usually a picky reviewer! We will definitely be back to the same house if we come back to Bar Harbor, which I hope we do! It’s a great base for exploring Acadia! The kitchen was well stocked and the bedroom was very comfortable. Thanks so much for sharing with us!

Nancy is a very friendly and kind host. The place is very quiet and tidy. It’s very easy for us to drive to Acadia National Park.

Great stay for our family of 5 adults and 3 toddlers! Lots to do and great proximity to Acadia/Bar Harbor. House was well supplied with clear instructions. Brady also connected with us before the stay and kept in touch for anything that came up as a concern. Thank you!

We stayed here for 2 nights. It was a very good stay for us. We had to double check how to get to the beach to make sure we weren't trespassing and Gregory responded in about 5 minutes with the green light. It's obviously an older home given the area so we weren't expecting brand new construction, and this was a perfect rustic get-away for us; would recommend for anyone looking to get away on a pleasant vacation

This was a beautiful home with a caretaker who was very available and kind. It was lovely to look at the outside pond. The home was pristine and comfortable. I would highly recommend it.

We loved our three nights at Seabank. The house was comfortable and immaculate, the kitchen well equipped, and the location—overlooking tidal Goose Bay with views toward Mount Desert Island—could not have been more tranquil (plus an easy 20-minute drive to Acadia/Bar Harbor). Robard was a terrific host, quick to answer our questions, and even lending a hand to ensure that we were able to check in early. We lucked into gorgeous weather and spent lots of time outdoors, reading on the deck, kayaking in the bay at high tide, and relaxing around the fire pit.

We loved our stay! Everything was as described and we had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook several meals. The view is absolutely beautiful from all parts of the house and we loved the outdoor amenities. Lucy was very responsive and gave us some great recommendations! Would love to come back!

Carrie was very communicative as a host and made check in and check out easy. The space was beautiful and worked as a great jumping off point for sightseeing in Acadia and Bar Harbor while being very private. Carrie left us some great local recommendations that made our stay even better!

Tim’s place was absolutely perfect for our multi-generational family vacation. Everyone had all they needed and were super happy with their accommodations and the amenities at his beautiful lake house. He was very responsive and helpful. It truly felt like we were staying at a friend’s place as we had access to just about the entire house and garage, both of which were stocked with everything imaginable for a peaceful and relaxing stay on a gorgeous lake. When and if we plan another trip to Ellsworth, Tim will be my first call!

We loved staying at this lake house. The kayaks were an added bonus that my husband and kids enjoyed. One of the neighbors even gave us a boat ride on the pond to the floating slide and the kids had a blast jumping off of it. The boys caught lots of fish right off shore. It was a great place to stay away from the city on our vacation.
