The house welcomes you in a warm and comfortable atmosphere, in the heart of the historic town of Walcourt, just behind its majestic Basilica. The decor combines the authentic charm of an old house with a modern and luxurious renovation. The magnificent lakes of the Eau d'Heure are only 5 minutes away by car and offer you privileged access to the surrounding nature and a multitude of activities: walks, tree climbing, golf, wakeboarding, cycling, jet skiing, etc.

Castle tour at Lake Barbençon

Located in Hainaut, about fifteen minutes from the Lacs de l'Eau d'Heure, Barbençon is recognized as one of the most beautiful villages in Wallonia. You will have the opportunity to sleep in an old watchtower (from the 17th century) completely renovated and equipped. You will be soothed by the lake (circuit of about 1 km) as well as the tranquility that reigns there. You will also discover the current medieval castle, its old entrance gate and its old stables.

Gîte Le Sambre

This memorable place is anything but ordinary. The history of our houseboat, or modern comfort meets the soothing calm of the water, for a total escape. Our barge has not sailed for years but in 2023 it was refurbished. The boat dates from 1947, it supplied the barges with drinking water on the Meuse, repatriated about 35 years ago to the Thuin shipyard which no longer exists. It served as a restaurant until 2022 and then was transformed into a gîte.
