Beachfront holiday rental in Halifax Regional Municipality

From the moment we arrived at this charming cottage, we were blown away by the breathtaking view. It made every sunrise and sunset feel magical. The amenities were equally impressive. The cottage was clean, and beautifully decorated, and stocked with everything we needed - from a fully stocked kitchen to linens and even games for a rainy day. The location was fantastic, as we were just minutes away from local grocery stores and a mix of eateries - perfect for grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a leisurely dinner. Plus, the area is packed with sightseeing adventures and historic landmarks to hidden gems we discovered along the way. This place felt like home away from home and we can’t wait to go back again!

Very cozy place! It was right by the water with a beautiful view. Very convenient as well. We were about a 30 minutes drive from Downtown Halifax. Ashley was very responsive and helpful. Beautiful place and amazing host! I'd stay there again. :)

We had a wonderful stay at this property - 8 family members on a girls weekend! The house was beautiful, better than the pictures. The kitchen/living room/dining room space was ideal for games, cooking and lots of fun. Everything was so clean and ready to use. Kim was super responsive with any questions I had and everything was really smooth. I would stay here again! It's useful to note for prospective guests - there is a 1-bedroom guesthouse directly behind the main house which does lie between the house and the yard/view, so it didn't feel quite as private as I thought it would be. But - we were there on a rainy weekend, so our group and the guesthouse renters stayed inside all weekend and it was like they weren't even there! I would suggest if you are renting this space for outdoor space, it might not suit those needs. Overall a lovely place to stay and we had a fabulous weekend.

Beautiful private property hidden away from the road, with the lake in the backyard. Casondra was super responsive and easy to communicate with. The interior was clean and there are instructions for pretty much anything you’d need inside the home. So cozy at night and the hot tub was so nice! They even let us use their kayaks, what a treat. We loved our two night stay, would definitely recommend!

Amazing amazing stay. The hosts are fabulous. They go above and beyond. The place is super clean and has everything a family with young kids would ever need. Extraordinary property with expansive windows overlooking the lake and a stunning deck for enjoying the view. The interior was both comfortable and stylish, with tasteful designer touches throughout. Outside, the gas fire pit and string lights created a magical setting for evening s’mores. Beds were incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. The hosts, Vicky and Steve, were responsive and thoughtful throughout our stay. Note: the steep, unpaved driveway requires AWD—it wasn’t an issue for us and actually added a sense of adventure. There is an alternative place to park vehicles midway for non-AWD vehicles. The only downside was unexpected construction on the lot next door starting Monday, which brought some loud noise. An excavator was moving boulders to clear out space to build a house. Vicky and Steve handled it quickly and graciously with alternative options. Aside from that, the stay was absolutely wonderful.

The space is always clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully equipped, with a stunning ocean view that never gets old. It's a reliable choice for both short and long stays. Highly recommend!

This place is stunning! Within 5 minutes of arriving we knew this was going to be a great trip. Richie was very helpful and the arrival was smooth. The location is so picturesque; the view is amazing. The 3 beaches are completely private. The walk through the small path to the rocks was a great discovery and we spent time just sitting on the rocks enjoying the scenery. The house is beautiful and everything you could possibly need was provided. Even the towels were so soft and fluffy. The wood burning stove was a real treat on a chilly evening. The house is spotlessly clean and very well decorated. It’s a quiet area but not far from Peggy’s Cove or Halifax. Overall I can recommend this property enough. If Richie ever decides to sell I’ll be first in the queue. Overall a fantastic stay and we’ll definitely be back. Thanks Richie :)

The days we spent in Gillian and Stephen's accommodation were wonderful. It is a really beautiful and very large accommodation and corresponds perfectly to the description on the internet. We would book this accommodation again in a heartbeat.

This house is extraordinary. The history, the decor, the comfort. The best stocked kitchen we have ever seen (plus an additional half kitchen). This may be minor, but they had lots of extras towels, face cloths and toilet paper. And the views - unbelievable! Alan's support as host was impeccable - as friendly and he was efficient. We will definitely return!

Raquel’s place, “Vista Del Mar,” is absolutely gorgeous!! The open concept of the main level allows for guests to dine and intermingle while enjoying the picturesque view of St. Margaret’s Bay. Raquel was quick to respond to messages and was a pleasure to talk to! A short scenic drive to Peggy’s Cove and Halifax. Would definitely recommend this spot to anyone travelling to Nova Scotia. Above and Beyond Booked this trip for a group of 7 guys in our early 30s, and it couldn’t have worked out better. Everyone had their own bed, and the space was the perfect size for us with all the facilities we needed. The views were stunning. I knew it was on the ocean, but wow - photos really don’t do it justice. While we were there, some of us spotted seals and even saw a whale — a pretty exciting wildlife moment. Not sure how common that is, but it was a highlight for us, being from out of province . Uber does reach the property, which made a night out in Halifax easy, though we also rented a car to get around — both options worked well. Huge thanks to the hosts. We’d love to come back

We had a family gathering here. The place was clean, big, lots of things to do (inside and out) and we felt right at home. Deborah was very responsive and accommodating. The view and dock were amazing and the deck outside was plenty big for us all. When the weather turned we went under the deck. The place is perfect for getting everyone together. Would definitely book again.

Great location on a very clean and peaceful lake. Swimming , kayaks and paddleboards are available right off the private dock. My son and I enjoyed paddling around the lake with islands, walking trails and a natural area with diving board to explore. The house is on a peninsula so while it’s very private , you also get pretty views on 3 sides. The house is stocked with everything you need for meals, movie watching , games (indoor & outdoor) as wells as a fire pit area. Very rustic feel but everything clean and air conditioned so we were comfortable when we did spend time in the house. Lastly , we were able to get to the Halifax waterfront for a very enjoyable meal in only 35 mins. Closer options in Sackville & Dartmouth as well. We also appreciated having a large Sobey’s grocery store only 10 min drive away.

The house was amazing - it was beautiful, big, very clean, and had everything we needed during our stay. Emily was very responsive, provided clear instructions, and had an info/ welcome package available for us at check in. While the house is beautiful, the view is absolutely incredible. Even though it rained throughout our stay, we took every chance we could to be on the balcony or kayaking in the water. White lakes was in the middle of everything we wanted to do and had no trouble getting Ubers to and from the house when we reserved in advance. Overall our stay was amazing and all of our guests (ranging in age from 2 to 82) had a great time and the perfect getaway.
